I just read that Nightstar's husband Mark is in hospital.
All members please join me in wishing a speedy, positive outcome and some good cheer at this time.
Had quite an interesting or rather nerve wracking experience this morning. I wake up to a thud and see Mark had dropped a jug of milk and had milk and
cereal all over the floor and in his lap. He blood sugars were dangerously low. You could barely get him to talk or focus. SCARY! I finally got him to
eat the sugary cereal, but kept making him talk and had him test his sugar level. Man!
Once he was ok, we laughed because he had froot loops stuck to the wheels of his wheel chair. Colorful. lol
Just letting you guys who don't have me on Facebook know that I am indeed alive and well! Unfortunately, most of my family, myself included, did have
issues with COVID back in October. My dad and my step mother were both hospitalized with it and my step mom had the double whammy with both COVID and
pneumonia at the same time. The great news is that they made a full recovery and are undertaking physical therapy here at home. My dad was previously
in the hospital with pneumonia back in September and was in the process of recovering from that when we all came down with Auntie Rona. I myself
didn't really have that many symptoms of COVID as I only had a slight fever, a day of body aches, and a runny nose. I never lost my appetite or my
sense of taste or smell. My sister, her husband, her three kids, and my brother also had it and they had little to no symptoms. I guess where we are
younger and in somewhat better health than what my dad and step mom are. We got less of an affect from it but we had it nonetheless.
After coming down with that crap and doing the quarantine/isolation thing. I have managed to get out every once and a while to shoot some trains some
this month and this is just one example. This would look so much better with some green on the trees. CSXT 2284, ex-Baltimore & Ohio Railway GP35
3518, leads local freight H701 east as it delivers over forty loads of rock to West Virginia Manufacturing at Alloy, West Virginia.
About three weeks ago, a friend of mine got me started on The Dubliners and I have been listening to them ever since.
