Can we have a serious discussion about this (Phobos incident).

This picture is also known as Phobos incident.

22 kilometer long 1.5km wide space ship next to Phobos moon in 1989. Also few smaller ufo kind objects can be seen next to the craft.

Im not going to write what the phobos mission was, you can read it yourself. It was a probe that lost contact.
This photo was smuggled by a russian cosmonaut and publicized in Usa.

Lets speak from a technical perspective and assume this is real and flown by humans.

How many can live in it? I suspect 10000-20000. I first thought its some Usa/british secret mission but why would they build craft so big so its likely not them. Musk also didn't go to Mars in 2020 (unmanned) and is not going there 2022 (manned) like he promised he would do, he was likely prevented. This ship is one reason why.
So how is this built.
Likely artificial gravity (spinning sections) in some parts of the ship. Lifesupport and food production. Hangars and somekinda weapon system. This ship is likely one of many.

Where would they get the raw materials to build it and how long would it take to build one and how many people to fly one? Where do they resupply and how long can it fly in space? Throw some estimations if you have an engineering experience.

there is a russian site, where the same error displayed in the last transmission was shown time before...
the shape and position of the figure is the same...
look for it, and compare it.

the irregular sharp bothers me. Would you ever engineer a craft like that?

If what you're talking about is the white line, take a look at the outline of it. That's a defect in the image. I doubt if a functioning ship would be that misshapen around the edges when the image of the moon is sharp and clear.

It's not a spaceship. It's a line scan image defect of some kind. Quite possibly an artifact from a cosmic ray hit.

The cosmonauts themselves are on a video showing pictures with the shadow, and its moving on the surface and cant be a 1 frame error.

Scanlines are also not like this.

Also to proove this is an image error, you would need to rebuild the probe, send it into space and try to reproduce the camera error. If it can't be done then there is no scientific evidence to backup a claim of a photo error.

It is real what it shows then.

The shadow seen on the surface also is claimed to be an error.

Weird that it would be an error to have a scanline that represents a 20km long ship. And then to see a shadow which could specifically come, from a 20km long ship trailing the probe, and it to be error too. And then suddenly loose contact.

Evidence how unbelievable it might sound, supports more that it is a space ship.
The thin part is the front of the ship. There are theories Phobos is empty. It was likely doing something with Phobos moon.

MDDoxs: thats a good shape. Artificial gravity through spinning parts. Just plate after plate, not some weird star trek ship.

Hmm, i have always thought that a good way to build a giant space ship would be using a giant embryonic sac made from self aware exotic metamaterials, this sac would act as a material collector and a filter, the ship would build itself, all material programmed to do various tasks.

There really is no limit to the functions and capabilities of a craft that is made this way, or born this way.

In theory.

Anyways had a look at some links posted here.. The phobos monolith looks interesting, well documented it seems too... Really weird.

Would you build a car or a bicycle like that?
Why would you need to build a spaceship so complicated?

Just build a big airtight ship from steel with a reactor and heat insulation and lifesupport systems and use some not public exotic propulsion and you are good to go.

This was likely a manned spaceship, by a group of people, known only to few and none in the public.

Heres a picture by curiosity rover. of something flying in Mars orbit.

Similar looking huge object getting light reflected on it.

Because you can not just build materials like that, when we are talking about highly advanced technology, it is not welded, it does not have wires, nuts or bolts.

It has to form on its own, and like i said, the capabilities are limitless.

the material in itself might be the key to reaching other stars in a short time.

It's possible if it is built in space. Using self replicating 'organic' building materials. Like Space Coral, that grows quickly and is pretty much carbon.

Looks like this previous thread may debunk this... but this is from years ago.

I made a comparison picture of Curiosity photo and phobos photo. Very similar proportions. The curiosity photo might be wider because it can have light glare making it wider and the resolution isnt as good.

XipeTotex:

What do you mean we cant build material like that. Space is nothing exotic, its just a cold vacuum. Just weld plates together so its airtight. Separate it in sections and pressure detection systems so leaks can be detected and sections closed. Also have space suits in every section for x amount of crew incase of emergency door shutdown protocol due to atmospheric leak etc.

Terpene: can you say a little more plz

Debunk? I dont want a debunk. I want ideas how they built it and how many people it took to build it and how many years. Im going with the: its real option. IThe top seems a bit like a needle so it can deflect object incase it hits something. If it was just like some cigar tip, they would smash right into it.

Metamaterials is a huge subject, so much potential, so much to learn. here i a small tip of that iceberg.

I thank you but metamaterials are not needed for space travel. Metamaterials are suitable for a 3d printer or similar in my view, like more for that then a space ship. I also think that a lot of folks talking about metamaterials, like public people, for some reason mix them with ufos so people will think its fdaaaar in the future to fly in space when someones flying there now (1989) if you just look at tha picture).

Phobos probe also scanned surface of mars and found a 600 square kilometer area emitting heat under the surface. That is the size of San Jose and San Jose has 1.1 million people living in it.

So whos living there.
And why do they need ships this big.

Of course.

They are used to teamwork in close quarters under stress for months on end.

Much better choice than fighter pilots for longer duration missions
