Another UK Child Death Through Deliberate and Wilful Neglect.

It seems that like the most recent one of the little boy that was systematically tortured to death, this one has a catalogue of missed opportunities to act. This little girl Star was the child of a woman in a same sex partnership. Caution! The linked details are disturbing.

I do wonder what posseses people to do such things to children??

I know its been going on since before Christ but what posseses them?

How do we fix it?

Maybe couples will need to be assessed before they decide to have children to see if they would make good parents or not? Similar to what happens with Adoptive parents?

I had to put my phone down and step back for a while before I commented on this, appalling...I can't get my head around how any 'parent' could be so wicked - I'd sooner die than harm a hair on my children's heads (or any other child for that matter)

Another innocent life lost and innocent lives ruined through the wicked incompetence (if it IS incompetence) of Social Services 'Childrens Services'

I have absolutely zero doubt in my mind that while this poor child was going through unimaginable horrors, SS were busy elsewhere hounding and terrorising innocent families

I am so sick of their repeated spiel "we are heartbroken this happened, we will review procedures and lessons will be learned" except lessons never ARE learned

So much easier for them to go for low-hanging fruit, and ignore the cases that may give them bother or be a bit of a challenge, or (possibly in this case) political...it happens over and over again

At this point it's hard to believe that SS exist to protect children, quite the opposite - leave children who are being beaten, sexually absused etc and remove children from loving stable homes for spurious, sometimes completely fictitious reasons

I hear often people saying 'that doesn't happen' - it happens, and with alarming regularity

If they truly are in the business of protecting children, the whole system from top to bottom (including the awful Family Courts) needs ripping down and rebuilding from scratch

I think it was more than neglect.

As with the previous case, it was deliberate sadism.

It always surprises me that this doesn't happen. Obviously, genetic proximity gives you carte blanche to do what the hell you like.

Sadly, this seems to be almost a daily occurrence somewhere in the world. Even worse is the child sex trafficking rings and the child porn rings that so many famous people and politicians are implicated in, along with the everyday Joe/Jane.

As long as the court system has such lenient sentencing guides this will remain the status quo.

You fix it by ensuring that Social Workers are properly funded and also do not fail to properly investigate allegations by family members.

The grandparent (I think it was) reported grave concerns and even asked a Social Worker "Do you want another Baby P on your hands?"

Never heard from them again.

Shocking.

Still, these two are going to Hell, and I don't mean in the afterlife.

Thing is, they may come across as very good willing married couple or just co-habitating at the interview but once they get the go ahead... they can always change...

So... I'd say although it's a good way to weed out the bad parenting folk... could always be faked at the interview stage!

Just had a thought.... maybe the stage is set for couples to have cams in their homes watching them 24/7... linked to some security/child services offices??

'Can't take a kid away from a same sex couple'. Yes, I'm sure that was the main consideration.

Oh god, imagine the fallout if they had done that and there was no abuse.

My wife said they dropped the "you are homophobic" bomb on investigators and so were scared off.


These two are in for a world of hurt......Pedo's and child abusers are the lowest of the low in prison.
