Angry Cops has made quite a few side splittingly funny videos about the US recruitment ads as well as how toned down basic is now. Always worth a watch!

It's only to get them to join, once there in it is too late to realize the recruitment video was mostly just window dressing and the real world hit's them hard.

I would not be too bothered about a group of choreographed Chinese or an angry Russian lad who looks like he just found out his girl is cheating with is former best mate but yes that US video is pretty damned awful.

But even over in Blighty our Recruitment videos have changed over time and have gone too woke these days.

2018 (not army the British Marines are NAVY but this is better than the Army videos in my book)

2021 (A SAD state of Affairs when even we have fallen to this)

It's by design. TPTB want to bring us down to knock us off our high horse. They've been working on policies and economy, and they've been systematically been working on deteriorating our culture. Now it's spilling into our military. Our military is the only thing keeping us in the position of power we have left on the world stage.

They want us to fall.

The United States Army that I left in 2016 has been slowly radicalized over the last 20 years.

Plenty of woke soldiers to kick your door in when the time comes.

Agreed weakening our military is probably the best way to insure we are involved in less wars ... or at least we will lose them a lot faster if we do get involved.

If you need to recruit people, and if you need to use ads for that, it means you have a weak army, and nobody to understand you don't need be recruited to defend your country.

Machiavello already taught that lesson.

I have the greatest respect for Conscientious objectors but you know MOST of them are actually men whom are NOT afraid of a fight they simply refuse to on grounds of there belief's and moral codes.

Other than them until the world as a whole is at peace nations will ALWAYS have to be ready and able to fight, you only have the freedom to have the belief you have because men fought and died for that freedom.

I understand the sentiment and wish we could as a world lay down our arm's, turn our spears and swords into ploughshares but sadly we as a species are often our own worst enemy, army's and protectors will always be necessary and to protect sometimes they will have to go very far away as part of tactical strategy's which may often be incomprehensible to us, sadly though it boils down to our leaders, if we have good leaders they will use these ability's the way they are intended to protect and keep free, if we have bad leaders they will abuse the power at there disposal.

Remember foreign strategy is often in aid of allies and allies are necessary so that we stand together against common threats, an enemy wants to divide because alone a twig snaps more easily but a bundle of twigs is far harder to snap.

It's a lot more complex than that but that is the best I can explain the way I see it.

I never joined and in hindsight it would have probably been a good thing if I had. I could have used the moral balancing and direction.
Had I been required to serve, I would have simply claimed I had bad feet much like a charlatan so many here praise and worship on a daily basis

When has the U.S. had to fight a war that was necessary to defend against a threat to its civilization since WW2?

The military spends massive amounts of money fighting endless wars and conflicts that will never reach the mainland.

The military (and others) are one of, if not the most) largest contributors to global warming and produce mass pollution.

So how about we don't get involved. Why are we spending enormous amounts of money and pollution to protect against a threat that will probably never occur.

We ard the ones invading countries and starting / funding conflicts. No one is invading the u.s.
