I used to come across ATS a lot in Google searches when researching various topics. Eventually, I decided I might as well make an account. Google no longer works the same way, and so the site is harder to stumble across. Even on Duck Duck Go, it's mostly mainstream sources that come up when I search something like "UFO Coverup." ATS flourished in the days of the Wild Wild Web because it was where all the really interesting discussions were happening. These days, everyone is directed to mainstream sources (or at least popular podcasts or the like.)

Part of it is also that a lot of people got disgusted with how politics took over the site to such an extent. ATS used to be more about conspiracy theories and the supernatural. But because of the crazy times we are in, mainstream politics has come to dominate the site. I've been guilty of this myself. To get people interested in coming here, or returning, we need to make more interesting threads again. Anyone can discuss politics anywhere on the web (except for social media that censors.) For ATS to thrive again, it needs to offer something special. Depth and thoughtfulness, interesting or shocking ideas not being discussed anywhere else. We used to be like that, and we can do it again.

Good point. New conspiracy theory. Google is actively trying to kill forums and online communities. I need to collect information.

It could be because conspiracy theories possess the energy of the wild, the mysterious and that they are impersonal in some regard, that is, not directly related to people's personal lives. For example presidential assassinations or a light plane crash which takes down some celebrities or business execs.

What has happened is that conspiracy theory has transformed into conspiracy fact.

Mostly I have found that people who miss the "good old days" of conspiracy forum also often admit that it is no longer entertaining as it used to be, when they could wake up in the morning, have a cup of coffee and participate in what they see as a "bizzaro world" interpretation of world events. Kind of like playing a video war game - shooting people and destroying buildings and then returning to the reality of the mundane world.

The way I see it, it is just like the W.E.F has stated: "There will be no return to the "old normal". You can take that to the bank and have it converted into C.B.C.s!

This now is the graduation of all the theorising and presentation of alternative evidence from the past, especially since 9/11.

Theory has to graduate into practice at some time or other. That time is now, as the powers that be are making one final all-out grab for total control and domination of the "common people".

By the time you could prove that that is happening beyond a shadow of a doubt, you would have already been assimilated.

I suspect Google is very evil. They got in trouble more than once for algorisms which promote child porn. Why do they even allow sites with such content to be found in search results? Google, like Twitter, and other elitist Great Reset criminals, have a hatred for children, for whatever reason. It's something they all have in common. Gross criminality is their cup of tea, sources calling them out is not.

People are struggling in the world, energy prices in the UK make people frightened to turn on there computer.

People have also been turned off by the US centric political threads that have taken over from the DUMB, EMF, UFO, Alternative History and other conspiracy's of the past which were the real reason so many once joined the site.

We all have political opinions and now given the pandemic, probably election fraud, useless leaders and corruption that is directly impacting the great majority of peoples lives along with draconian laws and rules and people's rights being taken away I am afraid such threads and the need to let off steam on a site such as ATS are inevitable.

Don't worry though even if many content contributors have either left or gone silent the UFO threads, moon bases, ancient ruins on mars are still there or not there depending on which side of those arguments you stand.

Yeah but no. I mean "politics" has become the cesspool that births and/or nurtures most of the real existential conspiracies.

Certainly at the point we're currently at where it starts to directly impact our lives and freedoms.

UFOs brought me here and I'm still up for any great new research but tbh if you've been reading indepth here for years you are as ufologically informed as anyone and more than most.

But back to the topic at hand: There was a time when the ban-hammer was pretty heavy and THAT did hurt ATS to a real degree. We lost some great thinkers and content makers during those times. Gotta give the new owners some kudos along those lines---the atmosphere in that regard feels better than it ever has.

Having said that, ATS is, still & all, what WE make it. She ain't exactly what she used to be but Im glad she's here.

Now there are a handful of posts per day.

I think it seems slow because while there are multiple new threads all the time, they are COVID, COVID, COVID. I am mostly done with COVID. Not much to say there that hasn't been beaten to death multiple times.

Don't throw away the key until the door has been opened. Covid is just the first link in a chain to be revealed. Remember, it is "a great opportunity". But for what? The cause has not yet been resolved into it's effect. Its is not being beaten to death. It is being tortured to reveal it's source, reason d'être, and it's destination.

It isn't just limited to ATS

The lines of probability in this world have been narrowed to the point of being almost flat within everything

There is an active anti-conscious at work which makes interaction pointless at the moment

In here, it is very evident. People use exacted mirrors (in language, writing patterns and what they say) to cancel out other posts and threads

When you see it, blatantly, it makes you feel as though you are surrounded by non-entities and interaction is pointless

Posting to active mirroring and anti-conscious is like casting seed in a towel, expecting to make a baby
