Someone on a live stream asked a question will the mayor of NYC require for kids aged 5/11 to show proof of vax?

Yes they will in matter of time. Some countries in EU already done this.

Biden's making a big announcement tomorrow to show how tough he is against RUSSIA. He's already mad at PUTIN for trying to damage his 2020 election chances. (Fortunately, Americans loved Biden too much.)

This is the biggest real estate grab happening right in front of us.

This is NOT about covid. The reason we know this is because they got rid of the testing exemption.

Correct, among other things real estate has been targeted.

Eviction moratorium causes landlords to fall hopelessly behind and business closures cause lessors to have to liquidate commercial holdings. Many of the smaller players in the service industry lease their space, unlike the big players who own their locations outright and who were shielded from the worst of the closures with "essential" service exemptions.

On the other side of this you have BlackRock scooping up property with government endorsed interest rates that essentially guarantee profit margins even in a down market because of the coming super inflation.

People with property that don't plan to stay long term need to decide if they try to sell the top and wait out a downturn that might not happen or hold on and hope any potential crash will recover fast enough for them to not have to sell at a loss later. Tough times for people ahead, all thanks to government "assistance" that helps corporations over people.

I saw a very interesting comment somewhere about the Chinese Evergrande real estate collapse. In communist China, in the free market, one of the biggest companies in the world is being allowed to fail. In capatalist USA the first thing that would happen is a massive taxpayer funded bailout. Isn't really a surprise we're deeply in debt, between funding endless wars and underwriting essentially all the high risk investments of the corporate world we have no chance.

Most of those people said openly that some democrat states may very well impose more restrictions. I haven't been restricted beyond the value of my dollar this whole "pandemic". That few weeks without good tp at the beginning was rough.

Even in major chains I have only once even been asked to wear a mask to which I only had to simply ask if they medically discriminate against their customers.

How would that work in in OZ?

Yeah, real nice deflection there.

Depends where you are, some states have no restrictions.

By the way, the group with the highest percentage of "vaccine hesitancy" is African Americans, including in NYC.

Not to worry. They are being replaced with illegal immigrants.

People who will work cheaper, not unionize, and keep their heads down in fear of being deported.

I left by happenstance end of Feb 2020. At that time there were three cases in New York. I didn't leave because of covid but bad vibes for a year and being burned out on NYC. Then all the covid issues and 2020 riots hit. Glad I'm out.

If you cut out a quarter of the people in New York from being able to go to these stores and businesses, a quarter of the businesses will fail in New York. Customers spend money. I would bet that New York will soon go down the tubes, there will be ghost areas everywhere, people will just let the bank take their businesses and houses and go somewhere else to live without all the crazies running things.

now NY can't get any cream cheese!

Simply not complying is not that difficult.

On top of that the mandates have already been considered illegal in several high courts. Nobody has to listen.

This 'fifth generation warfare' will drag on for some time, it seems. The more people that resist and in new ways the shorter it will be.

Good for you. It's a real shame. I always wanted to visit NYC. It was the location of Seinfeld and many other shows and films I've seen. 'The city that never sleeps'. Rudy Giuliani cleaned the city up. It's sad to see all his good go to hell under de Blasio and his blind league of supporters. Actually, I was surprised recently to see Giuliani featured in an episode of Seinfeld. He actually guest starred.

Thanks. It's a fun city to visit, epic as far as US cities go. But, right now is not the best time with covid mandates and rising crime. I'd wait.

I lived a few blocks from one of the Seinfeld set locations: Tom's Restaurant. I ate there several times. There was Seinfeld paraphernalia decorating it.

How about the smoked Salmon that goes with that? Having spent a summer on the E Coast I went to NJ to work for an Environmental Firm out of College. All I could find for breakfast was the greasy spoons that were great but no time for that, or I had to get Bagels with cream cheese. I chose Bagels. I am sure there were something somewhere but after the first one I stopped looking. For lunch it was pizza pie.

If this was about covid, they would be mandating testing for all. After all the vaccinated can and do transmit to others.

I left NYC due to draconian covid protocol. My work opportunities disappeared, much of what made the city great was shutdown and looted. Major outlets and mom and pops were looted and many businesses shuttered up and shut down. Small business and new businesses struggled to restart. Violent crime and rape has gone up through the roof. People are angry and afraid. The divide between the haves and have nots couldn’t be more clear. Deblasio mad NYC dangerous again.
