One week after the deadly high school shootings in Minnesota, federal authorities have arrested Louis Jourdain, son of Floyd Jourdain Jr., the tribal
chairman in connection with the tragedy that claimed 10 lives. The younger Jourdain may have been arrested as part of an investigation into a
potentially wider plot, according to authorities. Authorities have declined to comment on the matter at this time.

The teenage son of Red Lake Nation tribal chairman Floyd Jourdain Jr. has been arrested on federal charges stemming from last week’s deadly school shooting on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.
Louis Jordain, 15, a student at Red Lake Senior High School where Jeff Weise fatally shot five students, a security guard and a teacher before killing himself March 21, was taken into custody Sunday evening, according to sources with knowledge of the arrest.
The youth reportedly was arraigned on the unspecified charge during a closed 15-minute hearing Monday in federal court in Duluth. The hearing was closed because the defendant is a juvenile. Juvenile prosecutions are rare in federal court.

This is a very interesting development in this story since police have stated that they believed Weise had acted on his own last week. I wonder if they have found evidence on Weise’s computer or perhaps have gathered information from other sources showing that the shooting was part of a conspiracy?

The rest of the story states they did in fact find material on Weise's computer and they may be making additional arrests.
But two law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation said the teenager, arrested Sunday in Duluth, Minn., is suspected of helping Jeff Weise, 16, plan last week's assault and had expected to be part of the rampage. Prosecutors are considering whether to charge the juvenile as an adult with conspiracy to commit murder, the officials said.
Authorities have not ruled out more arrests and are continuing to question other teenagers about whether they knew about Weise's plans beforehand, the law enforcement officials said.
The arrest represents a surprising shift in the investigation of the March 21 killings, and was announced on the same day that Weise and three of his victims were laid to rest in funerals. Weise killed nine people, including five students and a teacher, before killing himself. He has been portrayed as a troubled loner with a history of depression, family tragedy and violent fantasies.
