Biden restricts travel to 8 African countries

I couldn't find this posted anywhere so here goes.

Former vice president Joe Biden has stopped travel to south Africa.

"Biden admin announces travel ban for South Africa and 7 other countries, citing new variant"

This is a move I am totally in agreement with Biden.
The exact policy trump used with china.

Now we wait for Nancy pelosi to cry racism. That's what she did last time.

South Africa has 60 million people it has fewer cases per day than Georgia, hell it looks like it has fewer deaths. IF this is a legit mutation we got nothing to worry about, but if it's an engineered variant we are screwed. Not because of COVID or this variant, but it proves what many here have been saying all along, it was manufactured and it was probably by China and NIH and Fauci knew about it, but we know we damn sure paid for it.

In Georgia, there were 899 newly reported COVID-19 cases and 62 newly reported COVID-19 deaths on Nov 23, 2021 That's in the last 7 days

So it isn't about the cases or the dying...

Still don't know how they find and know that this is a new variant, when the original hasn't even been isolated.
I think they are pulling this out of their backsides or they know because they release them.
Normally viruses get weaker with each mutation, that's how they roll.
This whole thing is transparent and dumb. I'm ill right now, no cov, just a winter cold with chesty cough. Good, keeps my immune system up to date.

If I remember correctly, Biden sent out a tweet when Trump banned African travel for a while. He said it was designed to make immigration harder for black and brown people.

The information I've read is that COVID can remain infectious in aerosol form for around 3 hours.

In the case of Africa, the prevailing weather pattern, the "trade winds" would push anything airborne out into the Atlantic Ocean.

The approximate distance between South Africa and South America is around 5,000 miles. My maths seem to indicate that a wind speed of roughly 1700 MPH would be needed to move droplets containing live, infectious virus across the Atlantic before they were no longer a concern.

I'm thinking we should probably concentrate on monitoring human travel from hot spots instead of relying on the COVID weather forecast.

There is still a lot unknown about the atmospheric dispersal of viruses, but there are some studies like this that suggest some very interesting things happening.

Lots of possibilities there, and it isnt specific to a coronavirus, but the data is pretty fascinating.

There are more studies referencing plant pathogens, like Highways in the Sky, which may be relevant. Also somewhat connected is the size of pollutant particulates in the atmosphere, probably connected to some type of longer term preservation through moisture. Possibly even partial deactivation of pathogens due to exposure to UV though.

I doubt we will see much continuing research into it for the time being.. but its interesting stuff.

As for the travel ban, well, I guess its (D)ifferent this time eh?

I feel sorry for Africa is been used as the scapegoat for the global agenda, this time, meanwhile the borders in the US are still open and we are getting all kind of people coming across them.

What that tells you all, just look and take a step back and thing about it. The senile piece of crap in the White house is restricting the travels from africa, but do you see any talks about the border?
