Democracy & COVID data site

Posting this link as I found it quite interesting myself. The site it links to collects data on the global state of democracy in countries around the world and has been tracking and collecting this data since 1975. The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) was founded in 1995 and has a mission to advance democracy worldwide.

Since the amount of data on the site is stupendous, there is a statistic on every aspect concerned with democracy within a state like electoral participation by country, state of human rights etc., I took the liberty of posting a link below to the most interesting statistics. The stats indicate that there is a worldwide trend towards more dictatorial governments. The other statistic sheet shows the impact of COVID-19 on human rights and democracy.

Nice to have some data backing up what the majority here probably knows and warns about already. Now we can use raw numbers and statistics to back up our claims
