I was a machine operator for a number of years. Before that I was an aircraft mechanic. I got my composites experience building flight control surfaces for the B-2 in the late 80's. I've done quite a bit of work on the new kit planes. Now I'm a mechanical engineer designing test equipment for large motor drives, but, I still get my hands dirty. How much longer I don't know. I've gotten banged up a bit over the years. My Boss is happy that I've had car trouble over the last few months. I can work from home and Production isn't constantly bothering me.

That is super cool. I went to school for auto mechanics initially and spent all my younger years building or fixing things. Backyard mechanic, if you will. I'd ask what the deal is with your car but I suspect you probably have an idea. While I ended up working in banking, I can typically fix anything I want or build anything I want, much to the wife's delight and chagrin. I built all our furniture in the house so that makes her happy. She doesn't like the motorcycles and really doesn't like this one either.

Crazy how efficient you can be working from home, right? Too long and it becomes less of a sanctuary. At least for me.

A comedy of errors. It is a 2004 Saturn Ion. In August a rear wheel cylinder let go. Took me eight days to get another one. I replaced all of the lines while I was waiting. After installing and bleeding the brakes, the master cylinder and booster went. To take out the booster I had to move a Fuse and relay box. While I was waiting on parts, I hurt my leg and couldn't work on it for a month. I got everything installed and the car wouldn't start. I thought battery and replaced it(it was old anyway). Didn't help. There's a security system called Passkey I. The sensor that reads the chip in the key is bad. So I had to tear down the ignition switch to get at it and get the number. I'm waiting on the sensor now. Should be here tomorrow. I get that fixed the damn car is practically brand new.

Woof. I feel your pain. It always ends up being a cascade of problems to address. I recall my brother in law having that passkey issue some years ago. Im fuzzy on how he did it but there was a bypass that worked if i remember right. I hope that sensor works for you!

So?... You,.. "picked up everyone they had"?
Then you ask,... "if anyone has ever built one"?

Just think about this?....
How many bicycles can you ride,...at one time?

If YOU do not know how to... "OPERATOR",... a "lever action" or a "bolt rifle", or a K.F.C. "SPORK"...., or your "shoestring".. To pick up a better "weapon of war"?

Yeah, I know, ...I'm a "fudd"!

I don't "buy up", all the "AR Magazines", "ball", "powder", "felt" or "lube",.... just because I can!... I am an "educated", "capitalist" and I love my fellow "poors". I don't ask or take/buy,... more than I can use, at one time. If I ever have to use,.. what I have, for its purpose?... I don't "really" need a "AR",...trust me, "one will be laying around" when "I need one". ...But I really "don't" need a flashlight either. Because the Sun and light, "is science". ... Just like I don't "need", Democrats, Socialist, Commies or people in general....
