Interesting, in what context did you read that? Do you remember?

It's 17:41 here and 16:41 at your place.

So if it's 8am at my place, when it roughly starts, it's 7am.

As you are GMT that should be 7:20am to 10:50am, with the peak being around the middle.

I have been waiting for this for years!!! I can't wait to set my altar up tomorrow. It will be amazing! I may even share it here. I will probably go to the beach to see the eclipse. I already told my son to be prepared to get woken up at 4am lol I bribed him with hot chocolate so it should be fine.

Suppose that means we might not see it then if its only visible from 7:20am to 10:50am morning time.

Ah well im sure there will be plenty of pictures posted from other places around the globe.

Cheers for the info.

The sun is opposite, rises in the East so just look to the West for the moon. If it's not cloudy, it will be illuminated enough that you can see it in daylight with your bare eyes.

Luck for me is, that it's happening here, when my kid is in Kindergarten.

That means I will grab my kettle and utensils after dropping her off and make my way to that old stone in the forest, it's a 2m high granite-sandstone boulder. That's my place

Even if I am not going to see it, like you I waited for this so long. I even freshened up my Sütterlin so I could prepare and read my mothers notes. She had this day marked in her book too, but they were all written in that old language. I learned it as a kid but never had to use it again.

This is how the standard looks, you won't find a lot about the older letters and grammar.

Hi - FYI, If your grandson's don't arrive until tomorrow (you have them this weekend?), it will be too late -

- because it's happening in the wee hours Friday morning (so kind of 'tonight')

I just hate to think of kids being disappointed, so wanted to make sure you check the timing.

It's 23:52 here. In ~8.5 hours it will begin. For comparison, look at the time and date that shows up for you for this post.

I just came home from the forest and feeling wonderful.

It is very cloudy here so I could not see it but that's not important. Instead I meditated. Let the rising light guide your energies.

It's almost harder to find lecture than learning the language. The grammar and sentence structure and a lot of words are different, have different meanings. Some of them I can remember because they were still used and Latin helps a lot too.

I would show you an example if these were not personal books from my mother. With personal knowledge, doing it would violate the Rede, too. If you are interested you need to vocalize the sentences in your head so you start to think in that language.

Do you know what I mean? For example now I think in English, because I converse with you and even thoughts like "should I rephrase that" are in English too. Kind of hard to explain but I guess everyone speaking/reading two languages knows what I mean.

Because with every language comes a mindset and here, with Sütterlin the mindset is wonderful for some of my purposes. "Strategies how to think". Does that make sense to you?

We are perfectly on topic btw, because it's about the moon in those books I read, too.

I only know English mate so i can only really think in such, i would be telling fibs if i suggested otherwise.

Language, its syntax and structure, have always been of interest all the same, im Dyslexic, so it was obviously to my own benefit.

I find the style of the lettering you posted rather interesting and beautiful.

One can write it fast and fluid like no other, makes it harder to read though. The pronouncing of some letters is also different, but I am kind of unsure because it was handed down the family for a few generations. It's sounds way more interesting than it really is.

Mostly for phrases and sayings or old wisdom.

For being dyslexic, your writing style and grammar is very good to understand, even for a foreigner like me. If that's because you go check over your posts concentrated, respect for being consistent. I would have never though you are dyslexic, not that I would ever remember.
