Get out of Alabama much?

I drove a semi OTR for 8 years... 1,000,000+ miles. Yeah, I think I got out more than you ever did.

I just don't understand why you have to defend your view that my lifestyle is "3rd world" so much? Is it that important to you? Is it so hard to even type out that you didn't intend it the way it came across?

That's what kept me asking the question... I kept hoping, apparently in vain, that you could simply say "I don't think Alabama is 3rd world." But... since you can't do that, and this thread isn't even about that, I'm willing to let it drop this time. Just know that we out here do not consider ourselves "3rd world" regardless of what you seem to believe we should think. Your beliefs about those of us who live in the wide open is patently offensive.

I'm done.

Frankly, you make mountains out of molehills

Oh, forgive me! A freakin' lifetime of being called everything from "hick" to "bumpkin" to yes, "redneck"... how do you think I got that moniker? Do you think I pulled it out of the blue? No, it was intended as a derogatory remark. I just took that power away from the fools who used it on me and made it mine.

And now I'm "3rd world." Yeah, that's a mountain to me. I do not care what it is to you.

And I am not going to repeat the same thing I just went through with you as well. I now know what you think of people who live outside of the city, and I find it highly offensive.

i dont believe alabama is third world, Never said it was. Why TF would I think that when Ive never been there?

perhaps there are some areas that might be equivalent to the places here. Big city area. Dont know. Its not likely to be where you live on 16 acres. Unless you yourself live like a damn savage in a horderhouse. I dont give a cowchip, I dont live downwind, or 20 yards away. None of its my bizzness. MY neighbors in So. Ca. in our little beach town are. And the libtards on our city council that stopped having meetings coz covid.

Im not responsible for what you heard. You clearly have some kind of mental block to hear what aIm saying over and over and over again. Its silly. You are acting some kind of role in a play in your own imagination. Im not the only poster that can see it. mountain out of a molehill and clearly YOU lept to defensive conclusions. you have a chip on your shoulder that I didnt put there.

Back the frack off.

Eta: Im not apologizing as Ive done nothing wrong. I clarified my stance over and over again. Get the cotton out of your ears. And Im not responsible for your hurt feelz. Im not your wife.

These so called "news" organizations, they are the bane
of society most of the time. Take for instance the
one headline I see keep popping up about Rittenhouse
"choosing his jury".

This is highly misleading in that this is an ordinary
process lawyers go through in jury selection.

But the headlines are skewed and the "article"
to make it seem "privileged".

They should all be banned from the courtroom
and also from reporting during trial!

to be honest, a much bigger issue is all the reporting BEFORE the trial. how can it even be considered that you can get an unbiased jury, after a year of media skewing headlines and articles to say what they want people to know, in effect "jury tampering" even before a jury can be selected?

as such the media should be banned from reporting much more than said "crime" allegedly happened. leaving out any mention on things like a "suspect's" name, or picture, UNTIL the person is CONVICTED in court. this case is a perfect example of why that should be. not only has a year's worth of politically biased reporting made an unbiased jury pretty much impossible, and thus an actual fair trial impossible. and even if the verdict comes back not guilty the kid is screwed for life with his name and face now well known across the entire country (and infarct the world). with of course so many believing he is "guilty" no matter what.

Matt Gaetz said this morning he would hire Kyle Rittenhouse to work as a congressional fellow, if he is deemed to be not guilty.

Both sides choose their jury. Around here, it is done in front of the entire group of potential jurors; it may be done behind closed doors in other places.

Te way it works is that the judge goes down the list of potential jurors who were called. Anyone who didn't appear has a warrant put on them and their name is stricken. The judge will ask anyone who has a good reason to not be a juror to approach in turn and state their case. if the judge agrees with their reasoning, they are free to go and their name is stricken. Then each potential juror is asked to stand in turn and give their name and occupation. At this point, both the defense and the prosecution can ask questions of the potential juror. It's not like a grilling on the stand, just basic things like do you know the defendant, how do you know them, are you comfortable with sentencing if found guilty, etc.

There are also questions asked of the entire group, to raise hands if they can answer a question "yes" or "no." Those who answer in a way that makes the judge uncomfortable with them being a juror are stricken from the list and are free to go.

Then the defense and prosecution take turns striking names from the list of potential jurors until they have, I think it is 18 left. 12 are designated as jurors and the rest are alternates. So yes, the defense and prosecution do get to "pick their jury" to a large extent. More accurately, they get to pick who isn't on the jury.

I've been a juror in two different counties several times in my life, and each time it is the same.

Try not to let the thoughts and attitudes of others, get under your skin.

not really helpful, for either of them. just read comments on the news articles about that.

if he gets off they almost need to treat him like a witness protection case. including major cosmetic surgery for him and his family.

WTF! Can we take the jury instructions home? Is that lady insane? They’ve looked at them for 7 hours today alone.

Why did the Judge even allow it? This seems very irregular to me.

With the media as they are today, yes I agree.
They are only there to serve an agenda now,
and it is not one that is "for the people".

It is a very deep rabbit hole to be sure,
but suffice it to say the media is the long
arm of propaganda for the Democrat Party.

Of course the US isnt a 3rd world country.Never said it was. I said my beach town, which was on e very nice and well managed by our city council, has begun looking the otherway when newcomers, refugees, most likely, raise farm animals in their backyards, against zoning laws.

I called MY neighborhood 3rd world, due to this culture clash and lack of city leadership. libtards and sanctuary zone ignorance are creating this clash. A self described redneck took offense and jumped all over me. Busting my chaps over saying people who have farm animals are 3rd world, when I said from my first sentence, BEACH TOWN, which clearly isnt farming zoned or acerage. Didnt know I had to explain this to a well educated person, but I did.
