Clearly the next stage of counter measures is to equip sensors that will detect sudden surface/internal temperature variations of the hull and take
swift evasive action. Kinda the way human flesh can instantly detect the discomfort and a person instinctively reacts.
Im sure such sensors already exist. Question is how fast can the computer get the equipment away from the beam?? The lock and hold software will
probably get faster to compensate for such sudden evasion as well.
Such is the eternal battle of offense and defense i suppose.
