This afternoon, Chicago's Chief of Police held a press briefing to proudly describe how amazing technology, coordination, and resources were used to determine who murdered Shaoxiong “Dennis” Zheng last weekend, and to catch his killer. Written Summary:

Spann allegedly shot Zheng once in the torso and ran off with several of Zheng’s belongings.

Witnesses initially told officers Zheng struggled with the robber and a shot went off. Zheng was taken to the nearby University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Muhammad said surveillance videos and license plate readers gave detectives a clear track of Spann’s movements.

Moments after the shooting, Spann was caught on camera jumping into an idling Ford Mustang that took off west on 54th Place, Muhammad said.

Police were able to track nearly every movement of the car, which was reported stolen from Markham earlier this month.

Then, Spann allegedly drove to a cellphone store, where he sold some of Zheng’s electronic devices for $100, police said. Those belongs were recovered.

“Let that sink in,” police Supt. David Brown said. “A hundred dollars for Mr. Zheng and his family’s grief. It just shows the brazenness, and really highlights what must be the consequences to these violent offenders.”

It's unusual for Chicago police to have all local stations interrupt their regular broadcasting to carry an arrest announcement, but that's exactly what happened today.

Meanwhile, during the same week that Chinese American Shaoxiong Zheng was shot, +60 other Chicago residents were also shot. The vast majority of them were Black and Hispanic.

Unfortunately, 78% of Black and Hispanic murders go unsolved. And, to make matters worse, Chicago's chief attorney (Kim Foxx) releases 40% of the few who are caught. (Example: www.nbcchicago.com... )

I watch a number of youtube channels that follow police actions, and there are a lot more cases where they find the perp, from things like this, but they only make the news if they are unusual. But they still catch the people.

What are you insinuating? they don't? Hell, black floyd made the news. More than once. Do their job, bag them if it's not breaking news. Do do their job, say they have an agenda against a certain 'type' of people when it's hysteria en masse?

When a murder in the hood happens and no one calls the police, are they somehow supposed to just know about it?

I think that it had priority maybe because if he had Chinese citizen status, the Chinese government would get a notification and demand answers.

The same would happen if a US American was shot on European grounds (reversed), there would be more pressure from above than in a citizen case. For the simple fact alone that more agencies would be in the loop and international, too.

A strange but explainable dynamic, I guess.

The type where people actually talk about what happened, and the perp actually gets tried rather than released as a 'mutual combatant' to go shoot up another street.

Black people in Chicago are definitely the scum of the city, in the eyes of city/state/national leaders.

Black Mayor doesn't care much about them.

Black Police Chief doesn't care much about them.

White Governor Pritzker doesn't care much about them.

White President Biden doesn't like Blacks in general.

And the Black people of Chicago don't care enough to even mass protest. They already are, what the Federal Government is trying to make all of us become...passive SHEEP.

They know it because there's a body, or the hospital receives a victim.

When this visiting WHITE college student was murdered over the Summer, all the video from the neighborhood was pulled, analyzed, and the murderer found within 48 hours. (Over 10,000 cameras around Chicago. Every neighborhood is monitored 24/7)

now, why would it be so many "black and Hispanic murders go unsolved"? how could that possibly be caused?

well to start with, since they have such a high number of murders to begin with, that means that more would automatically go unsolved, just from the averages. i notice by the way you only note the percentage of unsolved, but nothing but " The vast majority of them" about the number of murders. if say "78% of murders are from those groups, then i would expect around the same percentage of them to be unsolved. if the percentage of unsolved happens to be any lower than the percentage murdered, then they are actually doing a good job. something we can't even tell since you don't even give the relevant information.

but why else are both of those numbers so high? is their population percentage also that high? yet again you don't give any information to be able to tell. so we can't even tell what ether of those numbers even actually mean.

then the question has to be asked is how many of those murders are purposely committed as to leave no evidence such as camera footage that police can even use? such as i would suspect is most drug and gang murders. since of course they want to hide those activities from police in the first place, and thus choose where they do them away from things like cameras.

and then we have to ask, just how much help are the police getting from the public where those murders happen? are witnesses lining up to tell the police what, who, etc happened? i think we all know the answer to that, is NO. well when people don't help the police, then it is far less likely that police can solve the crime. after all if you don't have a clue who you are looking for, that makes it rather impossible to find them.

so why are people unwilling to help the police? that comes down to two major things. first people are scared about retaliation from the criminals. a problem THEY cause, by not helping the police deal with crime.

another big reason is due to their racism. which includes them seeing the police as the "enemy".

and the reason so many killers get released is due to those same exact reasons. and if people refuse to testify in court due to those reasons, it makes getting a conviction almost impossible.

in fact they are the reason that so many are murdered, so many of those murders don't get solved, and why so many murderers are released. in fact why there is so much crime in their areas in the first place. all of these things feed off of each other, fueled by their own unwillingness to help stop it.
