the subject of ufos is hard to talk about, its hard to explain, its complex and complicated and thats just for people with access to the facts and data, the rest of us in the ufo community are stuck with crumbs, and we fight and argue about what we think and whos right and whos wrong, and whos telling the truth and whos lying etc., and all of this from just about 10% of the facts and data, and btw if you listen to people trying to discern all of it its silly, i mean people have the right to make all these judgments but to be honest most of these people have no clue what theyre talking about and it ends up being an ol hair pulling contest online and that benefits no one, im for congress being involved and the people of earth, but we definately need the ufo community on board with as much facts as possible, facts puts us all on the same page then we can advance the ball down the field, otherwise were stuck on the sideline

anyhow some new developments, congress is getting more involved thank god, and theyre serious about it, some of them weant hearings but arent being allowed too yet because of politics of the day is more important, but they are putting legislation forward thats going to lead the world once again in its search for answers no matter how difficult it may be to understand, stigma, taboo. and any other words that describe questioning peoples sanity must continue to be removed from this subject so that people can see it for what it is a real phenomenon in our midst,

machines both manned and unmanned made by someone from unknown orgin of highly advanced technology and physics, coming in from outer space, hanging out over the oceans, going into and out of the oceans, harrassing the military etc., and thats just part of it

so who are they? what do they want? where do they come from? what if they created the earth? then created humans through dna manipulation? daddy? intel from years ago was some species have a permanent presence and others come and go, other leaders have said theyy cant tell us how many of these species are here because of panic concerns, so why arent we allowed to learn about the truth that intelligent life exists in the universe and it is here? i mean if theyre here to kill us or eat us or just play with our butts (dem perverts), we should know that to so at least we can fight back together, however they might not be that way at all

some of the crumbs by mr lue, 3 main types of ufos are saucer, tic tac, and triangle, he believes that many ufos are manned by someone, he even stated that some data shows someone inside the ufos potentially, and his position is that he believes the us govt has collected exotic material and biological material but hes not allowed to discuss further, at least not yet, but thats pretty damn good for the beginning of a long journey

no question of the day, just whatever your consciousness leads you to talk about, just dont hurt yourselves

Why ?
U - Unidentified
F - Flying
O - Object
Absolutely nothing difficult about the subject .
Unless one uses imagination to expand on it .

Somehow missed this news? sounds crazy. IF and it's the biggest of if's ever, there is no way those are "vehicles" that large and the TPTB don't know about it. It could again if true explain all the craziness going on LOL,

It's like did the parents go away and leave us "kids" to take care of the home/planet and now they are coming back and there were certain promises we haven't kept.

LOL, you delve deep enough and you can find people that believe Greta is actually an alien, here to scold and mold us, LOL yes you tell more and more states have recreational MJ laws.

“Vehicles” Larger Than Earth Are Hovering Around Saturn?
One thing we don’t see within the mainstream UFO disclosure world are the many testimonies, stories and experiences that several high level space and defense scientists have disseminated throughout the years. The mainstream has been relaying to the public that military encounters with UFOs have been occuring and are real, yet they continue to ignore the testimony of some very interesting people who would have some knowledge regarding the nature of the phenomenon, including many high ranking military people who have spoken out over a period of many decades.

One of these people was the late Dr. Norman Bergrun. Bergrun was a senior scientist at NASA’s Ames Research Center. He pioneered the methodology of thermal ice prevention design. He is also credited with roll-stability laws for airplanes and missiles. Bergrun was the manager of test planning and analysis for the Polaris Underwater Launch Missile System and evaluated satellite system applications at Lockheed Martin.

*In his book, the “Ringmakers of Saturn“, Bergrun provides photographic evidence taken by Voyager 1 and 2 space probes, of what he refers to as large extraterrestrial “vehicles.” Sure, they may be something unexplainable and not extraterrestrial vehicles, but what’s intriguing is his strong belief that that’s indeed what they are. It begs the question, how does he know? Has he been privy to more information beyond the photographic data presented in his book?

According to him,

The existence of extraterrestrial space vehicles of enormous size and power is a fact, the significance of which is difficult to grasp, let alone assess.

If you are serious about the subject you need to review at least one of the above assertions.

I think you can overthink the question of "why do people believe strange things?". I've just accepted that sometimes they do. Probably almost all of us if not everybody has had some strange beliefs at one point or another that are not rational, maybe it's built into our genes.

Scientists probably do a better job of sorting these irrational beliefs out than the average person, but getting a PhD doesn't make someone exempt from having strange beliefs. It's also possible that advancing age and senility may be factors in some cases.

Carl Sagan said "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". Does Bergrun have extraordinary evidence of his giant space ship claims? No. Evidence of any kind? Well we have to judge the evidence for ourselves, but here's what an astronomer has to say about Bergrun's claims that you mentioned:

Exposing PseudoAstronomy Podcast Episode 70: The Ringmakers of Saturn
There's a pdf of Bergrun's bood at that link. One problem mentioned in the podcast is that Bergrun very unscientifically fails to provide the NASA image numbers for the images in his book (which the podcast says go through some odd processing by Bergrun). If Bergrun was being scientific, he would provide the NASA image numbers so we could get our own copies of the images from NASA and look at them ourselves, without Bergrun's weird processing.

But even with whatever processing Bergrun did, do you actually see a vehicle in this image where Bergrun points to the vehicle?

In my opinion, anybody who does is probably a few french fries short of a happy meal, and I say that as no stranger to pareidolia myself. Heck I can even see a face on this cardboard box where I'm certain there's no face, and it even looks surprised!

So I can make things out that aren't even remotely really there in some photos, like that face, but I still can't see Bergrun's "vehicle" on page 23.

Regarding the OP, saskwatch, I don't think most people know what Lue Elizondo is really up to, but if he was (is?) a good counter-intelligence agent for 20 years, that was sort of in his job description. He pretends to know a lot that he can't tell us because of his NDA, but I think he really knows very little about UFOs/UAPs. He's actually proven that in numerous ways, such as talking about the photographs of the 1952 UFOs over Washington etc. (There are no photos of that, and if Lue wasn't clueless, he would know that and wouldn't claim there were photos.)

Just adding graphical context to what Bergrun asserts in his book….

Personally I don’t have an opinion either way……

The analogy here for me is:

Have Astronomers Found Another "Alien Megastructure" Star?

One of many other artists renditions…..

Perhaps they have New Borg City (the twin towers still intact)

The Bergrun book peaked my interest….so I searched EBay for it and my eye’s just about severed themselves and popped out of my eye sockets 😳

Apparently this book is priced as high as a giraffes A$$ based on it’s rarity….I said to myself…..Ahhhh Helllllll No!

So looking for a bargain, which includes FREEEEE…..

Here’s a direct link to the PDF full book, in color 😉

Ringmakers of Saturn (1986)

Download it while it’s available now, no telling how long this direct link will last.

The lack of capitalization and punctuation distracts from the content. Maybe it annoys only me.

Noted. For future reference of course.

On-topic... I saw something when I was 6 years old.

I remember a teal green glowing "thing" in the sky, suddenly appearing and just hovering over the mountain we lived next to. It was rectangular and was the biggest thing I had ever seen in the sky at that time. I thought it to be a floating city in that moment. I remember a distinct lack of sound, not only from the object, but also from the surroundings. Almost like I was under water. It was daunting and imposing. Debilitating even.

I cannot recall how long it lasted. I was home alone ( 70's ) and at the time there were no outside influences that could've contributed towards this being a "fantasy". We had no television at that time and radio was a rare indulgence only allowed at certain intervals. I had no conception about "UFO's", aliens or anything otherworldly, bar the bedtime stories about fairies, ogres and trolls.

I recall my mother coming home from work and eventually having an argument with the caregiver about some expected tasks that were not performed.

I distinctly remember a particular smell. When you smash a magnet with a hammer, it gives off a distinct smell. Almost like ozone. That is the smell I remember.

Eye sight perception differs with age in my point of view.

When seen through the eyes of a child most things appear to be larger, and described as such, things, in the child’s surroundings.

As a child I had seen things with my eyes that I thought were very large only to revisit those same things later in life and see with my adult eyes, that those things weren’t large at all…prompting words to the effect “I always thought that was larger, from when I saw it as a kid” “that’s smaller than I remember seeing it” etc.

What you saw through the eyes of a 6 year old, in reality, may not have been that BIG. As an adult you now know what “size” is….having grown older with many more things seen (frame of reference) throughout your life, to reference and make a clearer size distinction comparison.

I willing to bet, if you saw the same thing today….through your older eyes…..it would not be as big as a “floating city”…..perhaps in reality, the size of a …i.e. Jumbo 747 jet airliner (or smaller)

Hope that makes some sort of sense. It does to me.

Makes perfect sense. At the time, I had no real frame of reference. I had seen planes go by, and the moon. The moon being the biggest thing I had seen in the sky at that time ( full moon ).

I was only 6 but it is still clear in my mind. Something I will never forget. It's the reason I became interested in UFO culture as soon as I had more access to it.

It may have been smaller than I remember it, but it was certainly there and left a lasting impact on me. The memory of that smell will never leave me either.

That’s great to retain such memories at all.

As for smell, “smell” is a constant throughout our lives…….i.e. Breakfast Bacon and Eggs still smells the same to me as it did when I was 6 years old 😋

For sure. Smell is of course relative. I had nothing to compare it to at the time. Only later on in life did it "trigger" the memory again. I was messing around with some magnets and after smashing them with a hammer, the smell it produced reminded me of the incident I experienced.

Could it be that as you describe …. smashing a magnet that produces a smell…..perhaps an extremely large magnetic field, produces the same smell as a byproduct of its field intensity?

It is said some UFO’s have such high intensity magnetic fields…… to which you, as remembered, you had the experience, (the heightening of your “sense of smell”), to smell a UFO?

Fascinating……

(Yes, I get the frame of reference “ozone” smell (or metallic smell) since I have an negative ion generator for “air” purification.)

Just found this…..I encourage you to read this Odors from UFOs
