The Chicago Police have canceled a "day off" for officers because of possible fallout from Rittenhouse verdict.
Chicago Police canceled a day off for officers because they are worried about issues from the Rittenhouse verdict. "Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara claimed decision made if 'verdict doesn't go positive"
What struck me is the statement "if 'verdict doesn't go positive". What do they mean by "go positive". To me that means that they are afraid of violence if Rittenhouse is acquitted.

What is wrong with the Police hoping for a guilty verdict so that their job of maintaining order is an easier one?

1. Because they are advocating for a guilty verdict.
2. Being a PO is not easy to begin with. If you think it is then it is the wrong job for you.
3. They should be preparing not hoping
Chicago is a warzone already. More people are killed in a hour on the average weekend than 1/6.

The Police have the primary responsibility of maintaining order. Justice is the responsibility of other government agencies.
