The following video talks about WW3 and how star Trek said the war was in 2026.. Everything from Star Trek to Nostradamus made the predictions. The way things are going maybe like the communicator and other things Star Trek TPTB will make it so ! hahaha youtu.be...

Then we still have few good years to follow dreams and try and have some more fun before we go out with a bang.
Get to it!

I predict that ww3 will not start in 2022.
If I'm right does it mean that I can see the future?

Predictions are silly aren't they.

The video says that no one would want this to happen.....
But if it lead to meeting super advanced and morally good aliens. And then to the startrek universe.
I would love that.

Unsurprisingly, just like everything else, predictions seem to evolve and change over time.

Nice post. Scott Bakula was my mum's favourite actor and a long life Trekkie. This was her must watch at the time, which I absolutely loved. Becoming Time Travellers would be cooler.

No offence but I think that is a really dumb saying and does not reflect the reality of people and ideas.

It's true though. You don't think that applies to predictions?

If you make enough predictions, you're bound to get some of them right every now and then, but that doesn't exactly prove that you can see the future. It merely proves that you made a bunch of guesses, and got lucky when some of them actually did happen.

Star trek also predicted a eugenics war that would see the world carved up into dictatorships... In 1996. Also a rise of evil AI leading to the dominance of analog computing. I'm not that worried about 2026.

Unrelated though, if they make another star trek series I'm going to cannonball into a FEMA camp shower gleefully.

This broken clock is not right twice a day ^^ ENT has had a resurgence among the oldies, they came around. I've always liked ENT as a foundation to the Federation in terms of story-telling (we were finding our freaking feet out there!!), and most controversially -- don't think T'Pol should have been done ANY other way. I liked the Trip/T'Pol arc & thought like everyone else, there was no These Are The Voyages holodeck visit crossover final episode, it ended with the Terra Prime episode with the isolationists being xenophobic dicks on Luna. Trip lives.

Also like the theme song, Russell's FOTH version is better than Rod's was

Only works if General Disarray is deadpan pointing out what The Simpsons already did.

As much as I love Star Trek, I would prefer to be in a Buck Rogers in the 25th Century type future.

Scantily dressed hot naive babes who fawn over a middle-aged men from the 80s, and short gold robots that say, "Booty, booty, booty!"

Wouldn't care much to be in Season 2, though.
