i seriously think this might work. if you paint the plain correctly and have it preprogramed, the plain would probably only show up as a bird on radar right?

Me if I where to do something like that I wouldn't post it on the computer or tell nobody, And if it is a real military base they have the means to make sure not even a rock goes undetected if thrown over the fence.

Ok so I see this thread was revived. I looked through and I cant find a post I thought I had posted previously, so here is how I would do it. Like someone said way back in the day, unless you fly through a window you will not see anything. Also, in this day and age you will have to take into consideration the technology that the government is going to be defending against. In the previous century it was against huge spy planes flying over the US and satellites. Now, we are looking at fighting people who are using lower technology and simpler designs. They are going to be looking for the remote control aircraft, no matter how small. Simply put, trying to use an aircraft that is guided by GPS or remote control will most likely be futile and end in failure and possibly if not most definitely arrest or a fine. Now for my idea.

There will be no GPS guidance until on the base. Once on base, alot of the defensive measures will be lower if not almost possibly all gone. You must remember, the defensive systems in place are to keep the enemy out, so once on base alot of the defensive systems will be gone. To infiltrate Area 51 you will have to go low tech, extremely low tech. If you are just wanting aerial photos, use a hot air balloon or glider with a timer on it to turn on any gadgets aboard. (IE : have a camera mounted to the aircraft as well as a device to send photos to a computer system. Have a timer set to turn on these gadgets and have the camera set to just start taking photos and sending them. You will get photos up until the point that the craft is "shot down" or until it passes its target of Area 51.)

Going low tech and high tech. Use the same device as above. A hot air balloon or glider and attached to this is a small device pre-programmed to move about Area 51 with a streaming camera set to transmit the data immediately to a computer elsewhere. Launch your glider or balloon and have the mobile device mounted to this. Once the craft lands it automatically releases your mobile device which starts moving about by GPS and streaming video.

Do I know if this will work, heck no I dont know, do I think it will work, yes. The only problem with plan two is the fact that you cannot control where a glider or hot air balloon will land, therefore you will not know exactly where your mobile device will start out from. Once I find a solution to that problem that is low tech and not controlled electronically, then we will be in business.

Ok, I read another thread where it said take a couple thousand people and storm the place. Your funny. First, the base is surrounded by mountainous terrain, therefore just storming the base is impractical because the terrain will severely hinder your progress. To storm the base you have to move fast without warning or very small warning. The terrain doesnt allow for this, which is why it is where it is. The only feasibly way to "storm" the base would be to make up armored vehicles and storm in through the road system. I would so love to do this, but it would be retarded and you would for sure be caught even before you reached the base. I can promise that once the "cammo dudes" spot your armored convoy, they will call in to Edwards and aircraft will be scrambled to intercept and destroy you if you break the perimeter. So this idea is highly unpractical and if you want to try it be my guest, I will see you in heaven/hell. Anyone have some more ideas on this topic or care to critique my thoughts, please do so.

I'm sure the US military can defend themselves from a single, or even a fleet of childrens Rc flying helicopters or planes.

Otherwise, I would be extremely pissed off that after all that money that is poured into the defense budged, and they can't take on a damn toy plane.

How about we get a bunch of people like 4-8 thousand people....maybe with weapons to defend themselves...... Bring some cameras, even some that are being aired on TV......march on Area-51.......find out what is really going on......end the speculation.....and get some real answers.

i've been digging a tunnel for the last 7 years 4 months and 28 days.
i've so far infiltrated the area 6.4 miles at about 20 feet down.
i could really use a hand, i gotta' work, only get to dig on the weekends.

No, you are not going to ever see what happens at this installation nor the next facility a random person stumbles on out in the desert.

If you think an R/C plane or posse of civilians with guns are going to infiltrate a base such as this, you're sadly mistaken. However, I encourage you to try... You know frequency transmission can be encrypted through a PlayStation 3 now, right?

honestly dude its a well guarded base and i think they would have thought about if someone tried this and has taken precautions against it
