Friends pull up a chair. Outside the trees are putting on quite the show. The Autumn blaze looks as if it could start a fire, the Sugar maples have every color of fall imaginable. The River Birches are rustling in the wind, raining perfect yellow leaves with each gust. Birds are pecking at all the dried up sunflowers heads, greedily eating every seed possible. The wooly bear caterpillar tell us it will be a mild winter.
The faint smell of smoke is in the crisp air. The deer are running everywhere getting fat for the winter. The squirrels are just as busy, hiding their little seeds and nuts. The clouds and skies are magnificent, it’s as if I am looking at a live painting.

Something about that fall air, it’s crisp but comfortable. The air feels thin and easier to breathe. You can feel the days getting shorter but you wish they weren’t because it is the most wonderful time of the year. The old kettle is on the stove filled with ice cold well water. A couple of clicks and it should be ready. I get my trusty old tea cup out. I’ve had it for years, and there is no other cup I’d rather use. It is soft and worn with time, and I swear tea just tastes better in that cup. I pre-warm it with some hot water from the tap. The water comes to a rolling boil in the kettle and I turn it off and let it settle for a bit. I get my loose tea leaves ready and the infuser. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve done it, there is just something comforting about making tea in fall.

I love that sound from the kettle to the cup, I could listen to that all day. Then the boiling water hits the leaves. They slowly unfurl as it reversing time itself. Those crinkly old looking leaves regain their youth, and put on one last show. I enjoy my tea with a spoonful on sugar in the raw.
Swirl it a couple of times with the spoon making music with the cup. I sit in my favorite chair with a nice fuzzy blanket, a candle and a good book. There is no greater peace on earth.

To my ATS friends, I send you my warmest fall wishes 🫖

I was just talking with a friend about teas.

My favorite is Jasmine pearls. Love how those little pearls unfurl, and it is such a neat way to decide how strong you want the tea to be.

What is it about tea?
I don't drink much of it in the spring and summer.
But just today I pulled out the tea strainer for the morning.

Thanks for the magical OP!!!!!!

Love that tea, and I find it weird it is considered a green tea! One of the healthiest.
I drink lots of iced tea in the summer, and hot tea in the fall/winter but none in spring.
I’m pretty well versed in traditional teas, but want to start looking into more of the herbal old lost recipe teas.
Many are things taken right from nature. From what my mom told me, some things should not be washed or they lose their medicinal power.

I am speaking to you from beyond.

I was killed this morning.

My name is Timothy the Tea Leaf.

I was lovingly placed in a tea cup. It is soft and worn with time.

Then the MFer drowned us in boiling water.

Straight drowning wasn't good enough for this freak. He boiled us alive!

So many of us gone!

Maybe i have a sick sense of humor but that was the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time.

I might not be able to look at tea the same way 🤣🍃

I just saw you got upgraded fancy Mrs. Ginger. That's why I don't feel your cold fingers around my neck anymore.
And I thought I wore you down.

Tee can be a full ceremony and you don't have to copy it, make it your own, make it complicated, am I right ladies?
It's a warm hug from the inside.
We can give it our own meaning like:
I wish you happy trails stranger.

I've occasionally had some green tea, but have mostly been an excessive coffee drinker. I was getting some health issues and figured out that it was the coffee. I'm transitioning to be a full time green tea drinker.

My tea time companion company.

I don't have a sweet tooth. I have sweet teeth.

The pollen nectar and PROPOLIS don't hurt either.

Ah, a 'Tea Jenny' here! Love tea, Autumn is also my favourite time of the year.
I'm not long up and enjoying my morning pot of tea in bed.

May I indulge and add something to the lovely picture you have drawn for us please?
As an Aromatherapist, the only thing missing in your picture for me is a smell.

In my book, I likened Autumn as the time of year where we start hunkering down for Winter. It is the 'Feng Shui' season where decisions need to be made, clearing the 'clutter' emotionally and mentally. It is the 'cross-roads' season. Once we have done the de-cluttering, we bed down for the Winter, nurturing our plans for new growth in the Spring.
I have attributed the Essential Oil of Sweet Orange to this season. A perfect orange smell which epitomises the Autumn. It certainly does (on an emotional and mental level) support you in your contemplative decisions. This is an excerpt of what I wrote...
"As the yellow colour of summer fades to the orange hues of autumn, there remain miles of smiles from fond memories past, and the sweet taste of things to come. Autumn is the season of transition, a time of letting go of things past, and preparing for things to come. A season of opposites, of warm days and cooler nights, it is a bridge between our wavering emotions. It is the signpost at the numerous crossroads we encounter in our lives and a bridge into our future. If you are emotionally undecided, Sweet Orange is the Feng Shui of Essential Oils and will clear the clutter and point you in the right direction."
You could add a few drops of Benzoin which is a warm, vanilla, banana split type fragrance. I can imagine them both combined together and it's just yummy! Here is an excerpt from what I wrote about Benzoin...which I have attributed to Archangel Michael.....
Benzoin's "energies can be called upon to ‘cut ties’ which you have mentally, emotionally or etherically with past or present issues. You can therefore call upon his energies to help you ‘let go’ of situations that hold you back. His energies also help you remain balanced and steadfast in your integrity and principles. As he is associated with your throat chakra he helps you to verbalise your dreams and aspirations in a clear, diplomatic, concise, assertive and even dramatic way – when required! Benzoin will help dissolve any frustrating or negative thoughts that prevent you from manifesting your dreams and aspirations. It will help you focus your mind, not only for prayers and meditation, but to see clearly the resolution to manifest your dreams. As such, Benzoin helps to buffer and protect you from any ‘self-sabotaging’ thoughts and ideas that would prevent a positive thought process."
I know what I'll be diffusing today!
Both oils are excellent for immune support, chest infections, coughs and help settle tummy upsets amongst many more things. Sweet Orange also helps with the absorption of Vitamin C.

Thank you for your lovely post on this cold, very wet, Sunday morning here in the UK.
Rainbows
Jane
Just in case anyone decides to try both oils: Benzoin should not be used around pregnant women.

AH, angel, I was going to say you forgot to put your clock back an hour, but then looked at mine and it's the same. Is ATS running on a different time?

The beauty of fall...leaves kissing the ground to embrace winter. The glory of nature...I love to go for walks and enjoy the art show.

A hot cup of tea...so comforting; for a moment in time I feel safe.
