I've been visiting these boards years before I registered. I don't think there is any website that I have visited longer. Before the threads turned political. Back then I used to believe in a lot of conspiracies, however the more I come to these boards, the less I put value in these theories.

The only belief of mine that hasn't changed is believing that the official story of 9/11 is made up horse manure to put it lightly. I've held the same belief for 20 years, and the more I read about it the stronger my belief. It's not really a conspiracy theory though, just a complete debunking of the official narrative.

I suppose "The Greater Israel Project" is a conspiracy theory that I still believe to be true, however not in the ways presented and only embolden by events in that area over the past 20 years. However, everything else? I'm not so sure.

Have your beliefs changed? And what about politically? Has the politics on these boards actually changed your views in anyway? I used to be a "leftist", then I went "right", now I'm neither. I see it as one big puppet show.

I've found that most conspiracy theories have a foundation in political ideology.

I became more sceptical after a couple of years here but reality pushed me back towards the tinfoil hat.

It's far worse than we ever could have imagined.

ATS has helped sift out many of the facts from the fiction when reviewing many different theories. Some are still stuck in the gray zone due to limited information. Other are very clear in being proved or disproved.

ATS has opened my eyes up to a lot and i cant remember why i sought a conspiracy site. I think maybe i was searching for stuff on UFO's, this was way back over 10 years now and ATS popped up.

I found ATS through YouTube.

I was watching a somewhat convincing black triangle and someone in the comments said: "Already debunked on ATS".

Needless to say, I searched for ATS and wound up here.

Little did I know that I would still be haunting these corridors 12 years later...

I actually came here seeking proof that theories about the illuminati and secret societies were fake. Lol. What an awakening and journey it's been over the years. I'm not more of a theorist, I'm more open minded that theories can be fact and not just fiction.

Very slightly more.
I came to the site in the first place as a fascinated observer of belief systems.
As a student of history, I still find it more plausible that history is about the relentless struggle between multiple elites, and I still think that conspiracy theories propounding a single elite are over-simplifying matters.
But now I'm tending to follow the rest of the site in its reaction to the 2020 Presidential election. As long as the conspirators are not being called "the NWO".

I am definitely more of a believer in conspiracies since joining...the propagandizing of the msm was a tipping point. So now I notice things that I thought were just coincidences and are skeptical of them. As an example...I see now that studies suggest we stop taking aspirin as a blood thinner for those who have heart problems. Now we know that the jab has a high proponderance of VAERS cases showing abnormal clotting of the blood following the jab. Seems to me if a doc wanted to save lives, he would continue to tell those who get vaxed to continue an aspirin regimen to prevent a jab-induced clot problem. But noooo...just in time for clotting VAERS difficulties, they suggest the opposite...you would almost believe they WANT people to die?

In all honesty probably the same. It just seems obvious to me that we aren’t told the truth about many things. There are agendas at work that are not ours. We are lied to and manipulated relentlessly, and yet sometimes a rock is just a rock.

Since I joined, Ive come to realize that Progressivism is at the root of most problems we face on Earth.

Progressivism-
"Progressivism is a political philosophy in support of social reform. ... In the 21st century, a movement that identifies as progressive is "a social or political movement that aims to represent the interests of ordinary people through political change and the support of government actions".

Kinda seems odd to think that as a major contributor to the world's problems. I guess the interest of ordinary people is a bad thing now.
What a world man.....

It can be summed up by the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions..."

Basically, progressives are really good at being emotional but not very rational or logical. They have a hard time also connecting dots and understanding how their beliefs and policies may have unintended consequences.

I can definitely see how many if not most people feel that way. I have not seen witnessed this first hand, only through articles I read or maybe on the local news.

I'm less of a conspiracy theorist these days, but I don't think it's a result of ATS. Especially over the past few years, I haven't been taken in by any of the trending theories. 20 years ago, I might have easily been wound up by them. That's why I say that I'm less. Although, the reason why is not a mystery to me.

And what DB said.

I wouldn't say ATS influenced my conspiracy beliefs...I've been pretty consistent over the years.

I believe most political conspiracies are mostly true.

Don't buy Bigfoot, UFOs, Secret Societies, NWO, etc... maybe some nuggets of truth around the margins but haven't been completely convinced.

I deal less in conspiracy theory and more in conspiracy fact.

For example: Progressivism is not progress, it is in fact a return to the ideas of feudalism. Or in the words of George Carlin, it is a big private club and you and me are not part of it.

Another example is you can make a magnificent UFO video but having it happen at one of the most watched places on Earth (Rock of the Dome on Temple Mount) will have it pegged as a hoax in a hot minute because it is so watched by so many 24/7 that might have…seen it and said something, perhaps?
