We need to figure out how to get these into all three branches of govenment and stat. That would be worth the noble peace prize. And when I say peace I mean the heavenly gift of silence.

"join the govenment but first open up and say ahhhhh."

It's like the reverse babel fish.

Oh to dream the heavenly dream where one's government would actually have to listen before blurting.

It's the stuff of nightmares, or science fiction: a parasite that wants to get inside an animal's mouth, where it attacks — and replaces — the tongue. That's the incredibly specific, terribly icky job of the tongue-eating louse.

"This parasite detaches the fish's tongue, attaches itself to the fish's mouth, and becomes its tongue," the wildlife agency said, expounding on a photo showing the isopod curled inside a croaker's mouth. "The parasite then feeds on the fish's mucus. It also happens to be the only known case where a parasite functionally replaces a host's organ."

One of the nastier marine parasites. Ever see the things that grow in swordfish?

Yeah, everything is terrible. I once got reprimanded years ago at NUR next to grammercy tavern for not wanting to serve wormy fish. People have no scruples.

I recently just learned about figs and wasps. Nature is one nasty tasty mother…..

I have a fig tree. I just dive in. It’s just the knowledge. Baby wasps are fine. I just didn’t realize I could be eating a full grown one. Oh well. I have eaten worse things and enjoyed it more

And out of such images, nightmares are born.

Imagine being the poor fish.

It's a bit like the deep sea anglerfish where the male only swims autonomously long enough to find a female. Then he basically hooks up with her in a lifelong sex act from which he will never detach and sort of shrivels up into this atrophied sex organ that sort of dangles off her belly providing her the only service she can't provide herself.

It's basically grotesque.
