Lemme tell you a 3lb bacon story.

We were going to a wedding. My mama makes breakfast for the entire family that morning. She stands there and fries up three pounds of bacon and piles it on a plate. She is older and it was obvious it was getting harder to cook.

My sisters young daughter proceeds to take almost the entire plates worth. (They rarely get bacon due to their financial situation). Nobody says anything.
She obviously can’t eat all of it, but by that point she had already put her grubby paws on everything. My sister and her husband didn’t say a word. You know, like hey save some bacon for the remaining 15 people here.

No manners!! The kind of stuff really annoys me.

My niece was young, but her parents should teach her that is not how you act.
Also the fact the girl didn’t eat it. I’m not one that says you have to clean your plate, but to take almost all the bacon and not eat it at a shared family breakfast is wrong.

With bacon, around here, being over six dollars a pound, my tiny fixed income, is not allowing it to be on my menu.

Have been hankering for bacon for a while. No can do, at these crazy prices.
