People believe what they believe

There are so many things you can do, there's never a need to 'believe' - not anyone, not anything.

Believing is an ultimate conclusion you never need to (or can) modify, regardless of what's going on. Once you submit yourself to a belief, you can't let go or change it.

But people need to believe in something. That's why it's fertile ground for charlatans like Qanon, Alex Jones and Glenn Beck. Given the choice...people will always take the easy way out and put their faith in spiritual/emotional opportunist.
They will read or watch a youtube video by some self serving, pompous SOB and call it research.
