Aren't the teachers armed in Texas? Thought everyone there was.

Anyway, hope no innocents died.

That's what has me scratching my head. Texas doesn't believe in giving its citizens or faculty the tools to repel armed assailants?

What!?

I hope the both of you are not allowed to operate heavy machinery……

This includes you too Gravitysucks

We've seen what happens when the good guys don't have guns. They're sitting ducks.

I'm surprised the school didn't have metal detectors in place. Thought that was a thing now.

I know, that should be normal now right? metal detectors and instead of fire drills, mass shooting drills right? Oh the metal decetors were probably put on hold because you repubs do not want to fund schools. Remember, you hate taxes...

That right there says a lot about you sir...and all you republicans.

They probably had to disable them because all of the COVID "vaccinated" students kept setting them off when they entered the building.

How did we get to this? What is your theory that we now need to have an “arms race”. In school.
What if an armed teacher has a really bad day?

What if a cop/soldier/surgeon/bus driver/fill in with any profession that possesses the keys to offing someone almost instantaneously here has a really bad day? Do these things keep you awake at night?

How many vehicles are there on roads daily?

How many of them have bad days?

The idea of trained and armed teachers doesn't concern me anymore than any other profession possessing a tool capable of killing people if they have a "bad day."

Don’t know how many cars. Plenty. Way more active usage than guns

But I bet car/hours per year far exceeds gun/hours per year.

Before this gets ugly and political, please send love and light to the students, parents and loved ones, and the faculty.

I dunno. If I was faced with an armed assailant I'd rather have a gun than love n light. Maybe a light saber, that would be pretty sweet.

I understand.
But why does this even have to be a thing now?
Why do we even have to have a conversation about arming teachers?
I mean, I know why. Mass shootings.
That wasn’t even a thing a few decades ago.
Why this acceleration of shootings?

That must be why other so called first world nations aren’t having this same kind of issue.
More religion and more full time parenting.
