Who watched Squid Games?

A little gory for my taste but loved it.
The story is so much deeper than what it seems.

Think this is a movie about greedy bloodsport? Yes but there is more.
Here is my little interpretation.

Being of Korean ethnicity, some of this hit just a little closer to home.
This is about how Koreans worked like dogs, killed each other, and some sold themselves out to the West.
But in the end, was it really the White guy that did it to them, or their own damn people? Either way, people at the top, all
seem to have one thing in common, they sure do get enjoyment out of the torture and struggle of the ordinary folks.

In the end, it was also just about survival. We all want to survive, by any means possible. It starts with childhood games and continues throughout life.

I watched it two weekends ago. First I was put off by the violence, but then the social constructs, behavior and tactics became very intriguing.

The end was clear, it was clear from the beginning to me that there will be no splits. I mean, they would make it so, for sure.



Check out "The Shaft", full of internal struggles too and not that violent.

I binged watched it this weekend.

Pretty well done series. Definitely some twists. Highly recommend it.

I didn't think it was overly gory per se, but the did take quite a few liberties with the gun shot blood spray and headshots.

No, I kind of faded out last night after the big reveal that he orchestrated the game. I'll have to go rewatch that part. To be honest, I kind of suspected that guy from the start, but didn't think much of it after his elimination. A few of the deaths were surprising.

The storyline isn't super unique, but I liked the set theme / design.

Other movies like Cube have kind of done similar situations. A bunch of strangers completing unknown puzzles / tasks while they get killed off.

I know this is off base but now I have this visual in my mind of you humping through swampy, snake and spider infested jungles wearing a prosthetic leg looking for lost ancient pyramids.

I picked up the spanked and birthday part but I subscribed the spanking part as a remark on his naiveness, and the birthday part as a 1:365 chance.

Yes and they actually looked alike, long faces!
And…..how the old man scolded him for cheating!!! Just like a dad would do.

Oh I remember the other thing, when they were going through the mock village the dad says this looks just like my home and the winner says yes me too.

Funny how I wrote about the cheating part but removed it again. So now I retype:

What do you think was the reason the old man played demented? Remember the first time, he did not cheat on the old man. Only when time ran out, also his marbles and the old man kept drifting off (faking it?) again and again, his face changes when he cheats on him the first time.

Also when we did not see the old man being shot, I was on the fence and thinking "was this to keep his honor or will we see him later in that ominous VIP lounge?

Back to the father-son relationship, yes now that you bring up these points I probably should not have binge watched it

This past week my YT and Instagrammmy has been pushing this "Squid Game" (if this is the same game). And challenging me to make MELTED DOWN SUGAR WITH BACON POWDER into a flat disk treat that you must get the cookie cut ourt hape without breaking it and getting the shape (ex. a star, circles example]


By the way I think it is called Dalgona shown above.

Here is a lady on YT named SSsniperwolf doing her challenge. It's long and annoying but she may be eye candy for some here.

I really enjoyed it, gave it a 7.8/10.
I didn’t catch the father bit either (also binged it in one sitting, I must stop doing that!)

I really enjoyed Parasite too, has way deeper and even more philosophical meaning to it.

at the train station.
