Weirdness still happening… but where to report such strange occurrences???

My peeps (Peeps!) have ventured off to their own thing just like me and our trail has gone cold.

We were talking about the strange, weird, questionable, things that happens to us. And realizing that when we share those “woo” things tend to be noticed more.

That was the “Meta” in old thread title. But there is/was the stuff that smacks one straight upside the head and is so out of the ordinary that, it may just be me, but I want to share (I know that I am not the only one).

So, a n the spirit of the “Meta” threads that came before but less “about” things in a specific topic and just a place for any/all to post weirdness….

Let me go gouche enough to respond to my own thread…

Last night, I am lying there with an air purifier fan thing running. Good white noise to sleep to.

I am lulling again when the sound “splits” to my left and right ears. In my right ear I can hear a “computer” type signal (a computer recognizes “quantized” signals that fall in a specific electronic range, like +/-3.5 volts, so, this sound was like that.

But the stereo split was so… egregious… that you could not help but notice.

My guess: more RK dream crap that i have been saying for a few years was downloaded to me.

But, that is my extreme example!!

Please share any thoughts or feelings on anything similar!!

Internal/external air pressure change/differential triggering auditory nerve on one side of your head in relation to the other side of your head?

I saw a large Batman doll with a mask and cape strapped to the hood of a SUV with a bungee cord yesterday. That was kind of weird and unexpected. Cape was flying in the wind; I’m thinking they must have glued the mask on….


I also heard a raccoon trapped in my neighbors trash bin 2 nights ago. I was going to go investigate but decided not to; it was 4am(I don’t sleep well) and didn’t want to go to jail with no makeup on. I heard him/ her get out of the big plastic trash bin, so all is well.

Yesterday, as my wife and I were leaving to go to a local festival, my wife asked if I saw the owl across the street - it was a plastic replica between two bushes. On our way home, near nightfall as we routed through the neighborhood on another street to get home, there was a REAL owl just standing in the middle of the street. It turned to look at us but did not move until I drove alongside - then it flew off, in complete silence. Weird...now how often does one see an owl?

Now, on to the truly weird. I woke up in the middle of the night, one night years ago, and had a feeling I can only describe as my mind downloading into my brain. I don't think it was intended that I woke up to observe that happening...

Here's a good one, when you think about your thought processes, are you observing you observing your thought processes or is it a separate partitioned mental process?

If it is a separate mental process, are 'you' that process, or is the other one, or neither, or both?

How does that work?

Also I suspect your answer may explain some of the binaural processing questions, too.

Years ago I had this weird instance where I was at my parents, in my room upstairs. They were very much downstairs, and my door handle was jiggling as if someone was trying to open a locked door.

I thought it was my dad being a dad, so I grabbed the door knob and opened it. No one was there. No one could have ran down the hallway and down the stairs in the split second of me opening the door.

I've thought so much about this for close to twenty years and all I can think now is that it was either a weird instance of quantum entanglement, or my parents had some Cinderella level mice.

I have had that happen before…. And this could be a “semi conscious” state.

What I am saying is that I don’t think either was what happened.

I even said, “Hello?” out loud a couple of times!!

I think what may have occurred is a dis-synchronization of awareness of different processing 'components' of the complex and relatively pattern-less sound.

Our neural networks naturally seek for pattern. In this case, the sound approximated 'white noise' which is a jumble of frequencies and somewhat random. So to make sense, there would be a lot of different processes called to bear to look for a pattern. Remember that the conscious comprehension of the sound normally would come after all the automatic extraction of possible hidden patterns.

Normally, we integrate the results at a conscious level to determine if there is in fact something significant there. The individual pattern filters are themselves subconscious.

Déjà vu is believed to be an example of such a processing dis-synchronization, where different processed results are seen as separate, and therefore we feel like 'this has already happened', even though there was only one source event. In fact there are a number of experiments performed where feelings of déjà vu can be caused on command (such as with Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation disrupting processing sequence in various cranial regions).

Perhaps the state change between waking and sleeping allowed an exposure of unconscious processing, or perhaps it was just sequential processing that was noticed that caused the effect?

Either way, it exposes the lie of the monolithic unitary consciousness, and shows 'we' are much more amorphous than we would normally consider ourselves to be.

Anyway, that's my current speculation on the matter.

Oh my cutest honey-poopsy. Am I not enough for you anymore? I deserve it, I neglected you.
I got frustrated, that's not an excuse, or blame-shifting, that's just how it is.
You're so smart, not in 'I'm always 100% right' kind of style (nobody is, right?), but you're so brave and you're one of the very few people where I feel like you always immediately understand what I am trying to convey.
