My view from outside is resignation avoids being hung from a lamp post as few politicians seem to resign that held state derived dictatorial powers.

Being outside what is normal process to select a premier in NSW ?

I've never really liked the old saying "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't", but in this particular case I think that saying applies.
