North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has expressed willingness to restore communication links with South Korea from October.

The ruling Workers' Party newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on Thursday that Kim had delivered a speech at the Supreme People's Assembly the previous day.

Kim reportedly showed willingness to restart communication channels as part of the efforts to realize people's expectations for lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Kim willing to restore hotlines with S.Korea

TextI think this is good news for all parties involved. North Korea is like a waiting game to win, maybe now that they see the world is much smaller and a lot more dangerous, they are more willing to join into a world with some thoughts of what might benefit them at the present time. Also his sister now is taking a much more political role ( publicly anyway ). I wonder what country she was educated in ? Do you guys know. Kim was educated in a European country, Swiss or Sweden, forgot which one.

I think he just wants some attention. Trump gave him a little, and that seems to have gone a long way. It's a shame that because OMB, all the things he did in an unconventional way that were good, will be written off is "Trump bad", and ignored.

But now we can get back to doing the same things over, and over again, and expect different results.

China is having severe internal problems right now. Twelve countries backed out of their Belt and Road plan and many countries want nothing to do with them so their expansion is beginning to power down. Notice Xi is starting to posture severe CCP nationalism with attention on more masculinity by clamping down on companies, movies, video games and celebrity influence. Not a good sign for surrounding neighbors.

Xi needs to expand due to an aging population, declining GDP and water and food shortages. Not that easy caring for an aging population. Only way to fix that is get more youth or get less elderly. He can't get rid of the elderly because their children would revolt so there is only one option. His neighbors are starting to feel the tension so they are also posturing; improving security, making alliances to counter the CCP in the event they decide to expand.

CCP is also trying to get out of the slave labor business. It has ruined their environment and the constant need for more youth to produce is becoming difficult to maintain. They want to become the tech leader like the US and hand over their slave business to other countries.

One thing is for sure though, the CCP will have to expand. Nobody knows when they will try to move on Taiwan or NK but now would not be a bad time. Countries are starting to prepare for the looming threat.

NK is the weakest but not if SK comes to their aid. Taiwan looks temping but they have even more friends, mainly Japan and I think Singapore and likely the US but who knows with Biden's loony tunes regime. Transferring their slave labor to Pakistan and Afghanistan might work but the CCP would have to embrace Islam so that is a no go. They hate religion and religion does not work with slave labor. Look what they did to that big yoga group the Falon Gong. It was fine for a little while then the CCP clamped down and said enough of that foolishness; get back to work.

China though has a history of getting to this point, where it is time to expand but they get scared and hunker down. They invented paper, gunpowder, compass and at one time had the largest navy in the world and then they shut the door for some reason. They have done it many times.

It does appear though they are serious this time and countries know it.
