When a government screws up it is the citizens who get hurt. Let us hope with all the proposed spending going on in Washington the same fate does not happen to American citizens. Before all this is said and done I will not be surprised to see some of the Junta hung out to dry, literally.

(Reuters) - Myanmar’s currency has lost more than 60% of its value since the beginning of September in a collapse that has driven up food and fuel prices in an economy that has tanked since a military coup eight months ago.

Could be possible, he's definitely cool with causing pain and suffering for millions to grab himself a few bucks.

Sad to see. I always wanted to visit Myanmar.

It's almost like a military coup is a bad thing despite the claims of certain ATS users wishing we would have one here in the US.

Foreign investors who make a living raping the devloping world evidently weren’t too pleased with a government that wanted to put their nation’s own affairs ahead of their profits.

Soon after the last USA election, Aung San Suu Kyi got overthrown by the military as reports of the Dominion election servers surfaced. The military is good at killing stuff, when it comes to running nations, not so much. If the military wants to sort this mess out, then focusing on a honest election so people more capable at running a nation can get things back on track.

they're creating instability in Myanmar because it give the CCP access to the indo--pacific... out side of the Malacca straits pinch point and naval blockade

by couping the western backed government they can deploy Mobil launchers to the coastlines including another India front

The harder they (western powers) can hit Myanmar with financial collapse the more unstable it become and civil war breaks out on a larger scale

Back in nov-jan Pelosi was meeting with Pentagon officials while the top military brass was lying and obfuscating information requested by their commander in chief.
