Small Landslide and Cracks Showing up At La Palma

crap!! that is a lot of lava flowing right now!

It's an erupting volcano so of course there are cracks and ground deformation, would be weird if there weren't.

Local vulcanologists say there was a drop off to almost no activity before it picked up again- which is a good sign as it shows the main vent wasn't plugged. There was a little worry as earthquakes from magma movement were picked up further down the island (13km or so away) but then it started erupting again.

I personally wouldn't expect a huge eruption as it is a Strombolian rather than Strato volcano - excellent for building islands rather than blowing them to smithereens. They have also reopened the airport so clearly much less ash about.

Yeah im totally hooked now, i watched if smoking, then the new vent explode now a huge lava flow from the new vent, im hypnotized almost lol

there was a huge rock next to the vent, the lava just melted it like chocolate, mesmerizing

Yes, it seems like it's 4 now though some people in the feed are saying there might be a new one forming.

not sure if u guys were watching last night but the bottom left side lit up with lava and fire but atm the camera it not panned down that way and during the day its harder to see what it going on down at the base...

Has been consistently violent since eruption but tonight, it's on another level

La Palma is a strata volcano, so are there any signs it's building up to an explosive eruption?
