But I like the idea of you standing up with a rifle in the middle of a wasteland called Earth looking around without understanding what a extinction is. It is not Americans, Mexicans, Baluchistanis, Tanzanians, or whomever what's at stake: it is humans, as a species, what's at stake.

madmac5150, tell me, can your rifle stop your sons from becoming fentanyl addicts? If so, go run and help your kids there in North Idaho, 'cos apparently yours is a drug-trafficking area. While you are building your walls at the border to stop poverty, it seems poverty and misery is already at your camp.

My children aren't Fentanyl addicts, because they were raised in a Christian household.

They have never been arrested. Two have served in our military.

I may die alone... but, I will always be free...

This is Idaho... and not "potato Idaho"... this is damned near Canada, Idaho.

We had (within the last 15 minutes) a pack of coyotes get in close to our property. We have horses, goats, and birds... we protect them all. It is AMAZING just how fast coyotes will disperse after a few shotgun rounds...

DO NOT mess with my ducks. The horses and goats can fend for themselves...

Anyone been to Haiti in the last 20 years ? I doubt it as it is a hell hole even though Haiti is part of one of the most beautiful Islands in the Caribbean; if you can get past the garbage, smells, and horrible poverty of a city; Haiti beats India in the filth department of many parts of inner cities, and that is saying something !

Look at the state Department warning from you country about going to and being kidnapped or made deader than a door nail for leaving your hotel in Haiti.

Uneducated and by most western scales badly uncivilized. The good news is there should be an uptick on Voodoo dolls as that is their real religion regardless of what the Catholics want to say.. This is absolutely hilarious and should be framed. Honestly quite the pity party you are throwing here.

I work alot in the construction/installation field and deal with many people from different parts of South America. Many have illegals working on their crews so I get a chance to talk with them and hear their side of things. If its a Democrat plan to get a ton of votes from these folks it`ll backfire in every way. They came here to get away from all that and go after the American dream that we all grew up with. Most work twice as hard as any American kids I`ve had working for me and aren't always on their phones.

I want to control our border of course but I also would like to have a plan for the migrants' home countries to be improved in a way so that their wont be so many trying to come here. At the end of the day most people on this planet all want the same thing, a nice life.

Illegal immigration is a scourge on both sides of the fence. I know a family of which the parents were here legally. Their children were not.

2 of the 5 children were deported. One under 22. Back to a country with no idea how to handle the new culture, not the mention alone and in true poverty. He says "how can I be expected to live here. I'm American, I went to school in the U S. My family and friends are up there. I don't even speak the local Spanish!" I truly feel for him and would do anything to finance his legal return.

The other three work illegal, live in constant fear and are subjected to extremely hard work for very low wages. They have credit, the have U S. Credit, apartments, and drivers licenses. However they are scared just to commute to work and back.

I have also seen the other situation where parents have been deported and the rest of their family stays because they were born here. It rips those families apart.

Poverty exists on both sides of the border. However most legal immigrants not only do well here they've thrive. it is the illegal immigrants that are taken advantage of and most likely would have a better life in their home country. That is if they are not running from the law at home. (Witch is a major reason a good percentage immigrate illegally to begin with.

It is easy to virtue signal and armchair quarterback. Not quite the same when you're on the ground seeing the effects of it first hand.

There is absolutely nothing racist about being against illegal immigration. The only connect there is way to slander those who disagree with your ideology.

I don't have any "answers" - but there's a lot of strange things happening in housing, here are two:

1. Blackrock, REITs, etc having been buying up a lot of housing stock in certain areas, (you probably read how many buyers were shut out because these outfits made all-cash offers.) This drives up the prices of housing in many areas, (localities love it, of course, b/c of the increase in tax revenue due to rising assessments.

The question is, what's their intention? To drive up the prices, then flip them? To turn us into a rental economy? Bear in mind, they're buying the upper 10% of the market - they're not buying apartment buildings.

2. Many localities are working as a priority to increase "affordable housing" stock - either thru direct buying of properties by the government, partnerships with "affordable housing developers" (who make a crap-ton of money, no matter how "kind" they try to portray themselves), or by coercing new developments into setting aside large amounts of new development for "affordable/homeless housing." And the gov is completely willing to throw zoning laws aside for these developments.

(Don't forget the impact on infrastructure - as an existing taxpayer, you have to bear the up-front cost of infrastructure, including schools. At one local meeting, one Supervisor noted that for one of the high-density / affordable development proposals the local schools were all at 100% capacity. The planning commission staffer said "We've looked at that, and we have a very exciting answer for that! Once existing schools reach 130% of capacity, we can build new ones!" wtf?)

This all causes market distortions - it raises rents for everyone else - but what seems particularly troublesome is they're not setting aside the stock for actual residents - I know one development in Arlington, VA, that they built and filled with DC residents, some homeless (can generally tell them - they're the ones outside the building talking to themselves, panhandling, and drinking and throwing up on the plaza), and new immigrants. (From what I can gather, a large percentage of these are illegally sub-let.)

I can only imagine this is to cement their Democrat voting bloc - but it sucks to pay taxes to the local government, so they can help non-residents get nice, new housing for free or well below-market rates, while driving up my taxes and causing rents to increase for everyone else. Or maybe it's to funnel money to the developer (who does all the affordable housing development in the county - are there kick-backs?) Something else? I dunno.

All while importing poverty into what were once nice neighborhoods (but not nice enough for government officials to live in.)

If your locality ever has a zoning hearing on an "affordable housing" project, be sure to attend and ask 1 simple question - will those units be reserved for existing residents?

Watch them stutter and dance around the question ...

They have invaded my Island, in Puerto Rico the filthy in the streets is incredible, I went home to visit my mother after years of been away, I use to enjoy the view of the airplane of the two spanish castles as the airplane was landing and old San Juan, now the view is crowded with third country looking home made of carboard and tarp, I just could not believe how the island has been changed.

As I traveled to my family home, the tents along the the road with them selling food in the side of the road, that is not the Island I grew up in, is been turned into a third world country, this people sleep in this tents and on dirt floor.

The trash is incredible.

The worst part of this invasions is that the people do not change at all the same filth they used to live in their own country they bring it with them.

They do not come to improve themselves.

Not long ago some folks bought a house not far from us for $637,000.
I did a comparison study on it, the house, out buildings and property are worth no more than $418,000 by my estimate.

So many people have been tricked into thinking they are getting “value” for their $$$ but they are not.

There WILL be a correction and it ain’t gonna be pretty!
