Never heard of Tom T before today, he was great!
We didn’t have much country up here back in the day and if we were lucky we’d just about get one or two AM stations offshore out of Boston or New York depending on where we were and they played pure junk music and mostly rewind news and weather.

Thanks for this thread, I hadn't heard of his passing, either. He had so many good songs a person can hardly remember them all. He will be missed - his singing and songwriting. Being a song writer, he also wrote songs that became hits for other artists. I don't know how many know this, but Tom wrote "Harper Valley P.T.A." It was a worldwide smash hit and made Jeannie C. Riley the first woman to place the same song at #1 on both the Billboard Top 100 and the Country music charts:
