Stars and flags for everyone

This thread will be a confession, critique and suggestion.

So for the first part I'll make it quick.
I'm an attention seeking cat.
I like to be caressed.
Stars and flags make me purr.

I found that people get waaaay to little stars.

It made me sad at first, then I realised that I rarely flagged or stared anyone outside my own threads.

So, after mindlessly spending the last couple of hours trying to flag and star everyone in every thread I interacted, I had plenty of time to think about the whole thing.

I came to the conclusion that I will not go back furter in time and be consequent in the future, and rather write a thread about it to get some star and flags.

Do forgive me if I did not star and flag you in the past.

Another thing I noticed(yes I'm very lazy)
while on mobile you finish reading a post and would have to scroll back up for staring. It's really annoying.
my suggestion are to put a staring icon at the bottom of the post.
Or to just star every post you start reading even before you read or just star all post in a thread you read even before you do.

Stars could be a participation trophy and we are the ones to award eachother not make a popularity contest about it.

I mean, I certainly am happy to be able to read this board.
I'm not happy because it addresses my particular echo chamber, en contrary, I'm happy about the many diverse backgrounds anyone brings to the discussion.

From here on out, I will pay my respect to the discussion culture of ATS by trying to star and flag everyone in every thread I interact.

How do you fine ATS people treat stars and flags what do they mean to you?

Here's a fun little experiment...

log off, create a new account and when you either hit 100 posts or 100 stars repeat the process.

What matters is what your true identity is not what some stars and flags say.

I despise stars/flags, likes/subscribe or followers and whatever other platforms use as it breeds nothing but modern day narcissism, people seeking out an electronic dopamine hit

I’ve yet to learn how to give someone their first star here on my phone so the above stars will have to do for now.
