Cash for Honors was a scandal that engulfed Tony Blair's Labour party back in the mid 2000's , it was alledged that wealthy donors to the party were rewarded for donating large amounts of cash , a lengthy investigation was launched but unsurprisingly not much happened other than the party had to pay the money back but it was further evidence of how sleazy and corrupt Blairs government had become.

Now in the 2020s here we are again , except this time it's the Future king of England and his man servant ,Michael Fawcett , who have been caught up in allegations that they've been selling honours in return for favours and cash , of course these are only allegations and should be treated as such so to that end Graham Smith, chief executive of Republic , a group that want's to see an end to the Monarchy has reported Prince Charles and his Sidekick to the Old Bill , no doubt noises will be made and the investigation will go nowhere but it is further evidence of how sleazy .......

Former royal valet Mr Fawcett is accused of promising to help secure a knighthood and British citizenship for a Saudi billionaire donor.

Mr Smith said: "Failure to properly investigate these matters will damage public trust in the police, the royals and the honours system.

"Time and again the royals blame their staff or associates for their own mistakes.

"It is difficult to believe Charles wasn't aware of these arrangements or promises. It's time the royals were personally challenged over their conduct."

Ex-Liberal Democrat MP Norman Baker has also written to the Met asking the force's Commissioner, Dame Cressida Dick, to launch a criminal probe.

Difficult to believe ?
Yeah that's one way of putting it.

And I'm sure Dame Cressida Dick , culpable for the murder of Jean Charles de Menezes , will give the matter her undivided attention.

Are they doing one of these?

Lordship & Ladyship Title Packs
Purchase a personal Lordship or Ladyship Title Pack with dedicated land in Scotland.*

Our Title Packs are based on a historic Scottish land ownership custom, where landowners have been long referred to as "Lairds", the Scottish term for "Lord", with the female equivalent being "Lady".

*This is a purchase for a personal dedication for a souvenir plot of land. You may choose to title yourself with the title of Lord, Laird or Lady.

Every Lordship or Ladyship title pack contributes to the preservation and protection of woodland areas in Scotland. As the intention is for the land to be kept in its natural state, we ask that all interested parties do bear this in mind.

Difficult to believe?!? Are you being serious? How about 'business as usual'. You think that it's coincidence that in America major donors to a president's campaign suddenly get a cush ambassadorship appointment following the election. This is the way things are done. I am not surprised at all...allocations be damned.

So honours for people making large charity donations and helping cure the rampant poverty and injustices in international locations?

Nominate someone for an honour or award

Nominate someone who lives or works abroad
You can nominate someone for an honour if they live or work abroad and they’ve made achievements in either:

the UK and their achievement has a significant international element
another country.

Then you have the Honours system: checks on candidates

But really my Aunt got one had the party put it in a drawer never mentioned it again.

I didn't say it was difficult to believe , my remark was in response to the quote by the chief executive of Republic.

Yep, totally different honours some paid with Time some paid with money 90% didn't do the effort for the reward, just did it because they wanted to.

Really, you don't even know without googling who is eligible for what award. Without looking it up, name 10 people you don't care about who got an honour?

Basically, if you don't like the royals, then don't care about them, let them rot into insignificant no-bodies in your life.
Stop spending the short amount of time you have on this planet giving a #e about them.

I spend all day working hard I reserve the right to sit at home after work and bitch about the toffs who spend all day getting richer while being subsidised by me and those like me.

hahaha rfol well make sure you get your 0.0000000001 of a pennies worth.

But make sure you don't benefit from any of the spin-off contracts and tourist taxes that bring in cash to the countries coffers.

And 0.0000000001% of visitors catch sight of a Royal , they come for our history and architecture not for that soap opera family they see on TV.

I'd argue fish and chips hold more value to visitors than the Windsors.

Last year, the government gave approximately £37 BILLION to its friends, family and donors in no bid contracts connected to COVID. Bodger Johnson took all manner of shady handouts, including £27,000 in takeaway meals.

But hey, look, Big Ears is being naughty!

Distraction and more distraction.

With you on Cressida Dick though. She should have gone after the Stockwell shooting, no pension, no nothing.

Then by the fact, the history is based on royals and the linage of wealthy, plus fish and chips are fewer than curry house you seem totally unaware of what tourists are interested in.

What gets more visits UK coal mines or UK castles? Pauper's homes, don't make for good tourist destinations.
When some royal event is on in normal travel times what brings in the big money? the event or a chippy?
Guess you think people would spend 1,000s for a plate of soggy fish and chips

Your head seems to be quite far up the Royals' bottoms that you can't see anything.
