A plane just came very close to crashing in fields... very low coming in from the north, heading south.... West Wales, Pembrokeshire.

Heard this plane engine, didn't think much at first, then looked out the window... plane only seemed like 1,000 feet above the house... flying towards small mountains... then turned left and out of sight... maybe into the Irish Sea.

No smoke but I guess wouldn't see smoke if crashed into the Sea.

Looked like an Army Plane as was all Grey and a big one.

Was it a big or small plane? Could it have been trying to find a road or long field to land on?

Did it maybe just look grey underneath because of shadows?

Wasn't shadows! I could clearly see it.

Anyways, probably nothing happened, was just really close...

Let us know if something happened, I am sure our news will not have anything about something like that.

Could be the Taliban practicing suicide runs with newly acquired aircraft.
J/K.... I hope.

I looked on the flight radar and a Virgin (white) plane would have been in that area around when you posted, but it doesn't match your description.

You can email
SWK-lowflying(@)mod(.)gov(.)uk and enquire about any weirdly low flying planes in your area. They might fill you in!

Did it look like a C-130? Because that's the last thing that landed at Harverfordvest airport from Brize Norton.

Yesterday I saw a small private passenger plane hovering.

It was literally suspended in the air with it's landing gear down and lights on, as if waiting to be called in to land.

It was very low, close enough to shoot with a handgun, so it wasn't an optical illusion.

I was driving, so I didn't get a video of it, but it was definitely not moving at all.

It was not an optical illusion.

It did not move.

It was hovering.

It remained in the same spot for the 5 minutes it took me to wait at a red light, drive 55mph towards it, and then pass it.

It was so low, you could literally shoot it with a handgun. There is no way it could have been an optical illusion at its height. The speed required to maintain flight at its height makes that an impossibility.

It had to have been a hobby plane, but it was the size of a small single engine passenger plane.

Well, that sounds pretty strange. Did you see anyone on or in the plane itself?

Hard to tell the distance when on the gound but could of been 500 feet above the fields, not 1,000 feet, anyway was between 500 and 1000. Not sure how low planes are allowed to fly when circling round to land.
