From a political strategy standpoint I’m glad the SCOTUS acted kind this. This would keep the left actively engage for the midterms, specially the younger folks… they will come out and vote in droves again. This decision probably saves the House for the Democrats and probably gives the left additional seats in the Senate.

They didn't come out in droves last time. They sent in millions of mail-in ballots with different names. If you think Joe Biden got 81 millions votes then you're extremely naïve.

This is over the threat of civil suits, right?
Hmmm.......

But. Is it the misinformation coming from the right that is giving you the impression of a no compromise position?

But, in my case you are right... I will not budge from the idea that women have just as much of a right to protect their health and their lives as men do..
Even pregnant women!

What the hell, this is patently falsely and thoroughly disproven through the exhaustion of every investigative method possible. Your opinion isn't even an opinion in this case, it's a known falsehood.

Shouldn't it be that way?

2021 and we still want someone to dictate what other people can and cant do

Is it dictating to tell someone they can't murder a child?

What the hell has this country come to. Damn.I can't believe we're arguing over the right to kill a frickin child.

Wth, how many kids did we murder in Afghanistan and iraq over the years by dropping bombs on their villages?

Ah, so for the sake of the 12 or 13 year old rape victim who is clueless, let's not take any action on the millions of irresponsible adults that ARE aware.

Please cite another such law, a blue state's law, if you have one, that makes something legal effectively illegal, but offers no state law enforcement authority and no state authority to prosecute, but authorizes private citizens, who otherwise have no legal standing, to personally hunt down and prosecute anyone who they think might have helped someone do something that's constitutionally protected.

Covid vaccine mandates from businesses.

Nope. There is no US state legislated vaccine mandate that allows for no state law enforcement or penalty issued by the state, but allows private citizens to hunt down the non-vaccinated for a $10,000 "bounty".

That's the thing, women trying to end pregnancy has been around for thousands of years in some form. We will now just have back alley docs in Texas and women dying or unable to ever have children from botched procedures. I don't think I ever took a pregnancy test until 6 weeks as my cycle was never regular. Although I never had one, I support a women's right to choose.

So.. are men now going to have to start paying child support at 6 weeks?

They took a risk having unprotected sex, a back alley botch is another risk they'll have to take if they don't want the burden they created themselves.

They do not recognize them as children.
It is the actual heart of the roe v wade.
Establishing when life begins appears key.
This Texas bill does that.

Are anti-abortionists also 100% anti-war ? Because that is also murder.

Terrible analogy unless a fetus can volunteer to face the risk of death for the sake of his or her mother.

No
But they are allowed to fire them.
The state cant by Governors mandate, private business yep.

Hey, no, it isn't a risk they'll have to take because abortion is legal, and always will be.

I'm guessing you feel the same about unvaccinated COVID patients, though? Send 'em to the back alley with a rusty needle and some ivermectin? Risk they have to take, right?

it seems the basis of your argument lies in confusing a fetus with a child. they are two different things

If you are 18 you have reached the age of majority except for drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, owning a handgun.

Any age: smoking indoors, sitting in a car alone while intoxicated, in a moving car without wearing a seatbelt.

Those laws are enforceable, and violators penalized by state actors, unlike this Texas law.

They could have made an exception, they chose not to. They chose the health and life of the unborn over the health and life of the living breathing, already born child!
The unborn child has a higher right to life than the female that is the host to its developing body... even though, that developing body is sure to die if the host dies.

But, let's just go find another village half a world away, we can claim we are protecting our lives! Or economy! Our way of life! Heck, it doesn't even have to be halfway around the world for some it sounds like. We need to have a civil war, kill our neighbors, prevent the trucks from delivering food to various communities, starve out the others! Protect our freedom!! Protect our way of life!!

And the baby will still be dead, maybe the mother, maybe not. It really doesn't accomplish what you would like.

Says who?
When and Whom defined viability?
You think roe v wade is still medically correct?

That's funny. My wife goes into work at 5:30. I get up with our 5 year old son and take him to school, then I go to work, then I get off at 2:00 to go pick him up. When he was in daycare, I took him to daycare and she picked him up. We're both employed at the same company and have always worked together with our child. Neither one of us have ever had to do all of the work unless our son is sick, then we'll take turns taking a day off to be with him. This is called responsibility. Before we decided to have a child, we saved up enough money to cover 5 months of bills, diapers, formula, and other baby needs just in case she got put on bed rest. She worked until the day before he was born and was back to work 3 weeks later.

Guess we will see more stories like that Trump staffer Jason Miller who slipped his pregnant mistress an abortion drug in her smoothie. Or will married men who knock up mistresses fly them out of state? But.. then can she sue him and get the money because he assisted?

Has anyone stated that they're against Plan B pills? That's what they're made for. Nice attempt at making your Trump jab though.
