Charlie Watts as passed away age 80. Part of The Legend that is The Rolling Stones. Sad day, part of my teenage years gone.

Too many passing away from the great bands of the '60's.

R.I.P. Charlie. Keep beating in heaven mate.

That is sad.
I saw a news report last week that kind of intimated that he was on his way out.

Very sad... with every one of these legends that pass, a little bit of me dies as well.

Dude had the weirdest playing style but he was a quality Jazz drummer alongside playing for the Stones so that probably explains it.

Not many pensioners get to play to packed stadiums every night , he had a long life well lived.

RiP Charlie.

R.I.P. Charlie, you'll be missed!

Here's a track from Get Yer Ya Yas Out, definitely one of the best live albums ever.

My sister just called me about this news - very sad to hear! I played a lot of Rolling Stones songs in my various bands, Charlie was one of the greats. We're running out of legends these days. So depressing.

RIP Charlie. Thanks for all the memories.

Once I learned how to play drums, I use to critique him and hated his high-hat technique.
I learned he was a jazz type of drummer and it opened me up a bit.
I used his technique for a break between songs and would use my free hand to eat a bag of chips and get the boys through the next song and nobody would even notice that I was playing with one hand. LOL

Underrated!!

I guess Dusty Wolf needed a guy to jam with.

RIP Charlie Watts.

Gimme Shelter at Altamont. This was the end of the 60s, both literally and figuratively!

I'll live that mistake with the utmost shame and won't even edit that.

He was married before he joined. Stayed married and possibly the most wholesome drummer on the planet.

Glad to have met the man.

Sad to hear he passed.

I'm not an extreme Stones fan, but I do like their music and each member's personality. Bridges to Babylon is my favorite album by them

When I heard CW had passed I realized the ones my dad's generation and my generation consider the greats in music and entertainment are slowly being erased, and eventually the world will be left with COMPLETE UTTER CRAP.

Faith has been broken
Tears must be cried
Let’s do some living
After we die

Wild Horses, The Rolling Stones

(He played on every album they recorded)
