I'm not sure anything he says is gonna be a major surprise. They playbook is likely just gonna be blame Trump. Democrat media will back him up.

I don't think this is 100% Biden's fault. Afghanistan has been a cluster# for years. The entire reason why Trump would even have negotiated with the Taliban is I think he knew it was inevitable that they were going to take back over. Biden must have known this too, so I'm not sure why he bothered to lie a few weeks ago and say this wouldn't happen. Maybe they just didn't think it would happen this fast and they'd be able to spin it easier.

But I expect nothing but blame Trump here. Regardless, this is a sad situation for the people of Afghanistan and the Americans who are still in danger there (thanks KTemplar for pointing that out.)

Absolutely. There is no excusing that how poorly this has been executed is 100% on Biden.

This is such an strategic failure. The CIA, NSA, JCS, and NSC heads should all resign in shame. Yes we need to be out of Afghanistan and all these Middle Eastern countries but the execution of this is such an embarrassment of epic proportions and that rest solely on the President.

Biden was likely presented with all of these options and rejected them. Remember Robert Gates said he NEVER gets foreign policy decisions right. Everything he should've done he probably turned down.

If the Talaban would have pulled this crap with Trump in office, we would have bombed and attacked the Teliban and eradicated them from the earth. The Taliban would not have done this if Trump was in office.

I would buy into that if it was anyone else. Clinton, Obama, maybe. Biden, I actually believe he is this incompetent.

They followed the Saigon disaster almost to the script. It was on purpose.

They have his meds tricked out pretty good today. Got him juiced up right.
