As a lifelong Chicagoan, it pains me to see what my beautiful city has become. In the best of times, it's truly one of the greatest cities in the world to visit. That being said, I moved out of the city 15 years ago but continued working in the city until 2 years ago when I got a new job in the burbs. Now the only time I go over those city limits is when I must do so for work or to visit family. It's become a shell of its former self thanks to leftist policies destroying the place. Really just so sad.

Illinois was my home. Unfortunately each time I visit I am reminded why I left.

When looking at the total number of shootings, the rate of children shot, however, is similar to that of last year. So far this year, 3.4% of all shooting victims were 15 years old or younger — the same percentage of child victims in 2020.

Ooops I forgot is not police left she defunded them already, I guess the residents in that city love expendable lives.

Pretty sure last time they did this my state, Indiana, blocked all access to the state from north east Illinois. I remember watching a video of a woman driving around showing it all blocked off.

A guy I served in the navy with was from Chicago. He now lives in Texas and has a CCW and carries and feels a lot safer.
