Chicago Covid Travel restriction The DUMBEST thing you've ever read

Chicago added 12 more states to their travel advisory Tuesday amid a rise in COVID-19 cases in the city, recommending unvaccinated people traveling from more than 30 states or territories either quarantine or test negative for the virus upon arrival.

The states added to the list include Idaho, North Carolina, Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Montana, Delaware, New York, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Iowa. A total of 31 states and two territories are now included in the advisory.

This is stupid beyond belief. First of all "recommending" and advising does not mean anyone needs to do it.
But you know what this article leaves out??? The one group of people that they (the news I'm watching) doesn't have to abide by these "rules"
People that live in these travel advisory places and travel to Chicago for work.

Yep that's right, if someone lives in Wisconsin and travels to Chicago one time during the summer, they are recommending testing, or quarantine, or of course you be vaccinated.

If you work in Chicago you are free to come an go every freaking day with all your viruses.
Does that make any sense???

Someone that travels to Chicago 260+ days a year,
or someone that visits a few days.

PS. I do not want to bail out Illinois when they go bankrupt, it is the dumbest state.

I live just outside Chicago. This doesn't surprise me at all. This is without a doubt one of the dumbest places on Earth in regards to government. Unfortunately, that description also fits a pretty good sized segment of the population. You know, the ones who keep voting for the aforementioned idiots.

Lol we are way past dumb. everyone agreed they need a license for basic rights of hunting or driving or creating a garden. ha dumb has come & go now we just gotta deal with the consequences now. rights are privilages in the constitution. i have a privalage to hunt & if i abuse it i cant again. i have a privilage to grow my own food unless i screw up somehow. everyone takes life as american privalages for granted. covid restrictions are no less harsh than anything any word twister has created for tyrrany in now america before. i shouldnt need i an i.d to rest my head in a hotel or motel but its the way it is. you need the mark of the beast for anything, thats the american way. & the devil has america under control so if you dont like the devil you can leave thank you.

I remember this same thing before, I though it was tagged anti constitutional, yep only if the state is a Republican state, democrat states can do anything they want and change their constitutional views at will.

I can vouch for your statement. I moved about 40 miles west of Chicago a few weeks ago. Used to live within walking distance of Chicago city limits. Lots of stupid in these parts.

Very little has made sense with regard to any government handling of the COVID 'crisis' over the last year and a half.

Well, it is nice that so many people will avoid going to Chicago because they do not need people there spending their money. I think it would be advisable to have the corpse sent outside the city for the funeral since all the relatives will not be able to attend it if they have it in Chicago. I can see cancellations of conferences in the future because Chicago evidently does not need anyone's business. If I had to travel to Chicago for something I would not go because their city leadership is dumb as hell.

That means that truck drivers delivering food cannot go there either, oh well, everyone will just have to lower food consumption, I don't know anyone who is presently driving semi that got vaccinated, but I am sure there are some who are. It seems that truck drivers kind of dislike going to see a doctor or getting vaccines. I suppose Chicago is trying to pressure those drivers to get vaccinated.

We are about to have the National Bridal Market in Chicago, it is the bellwether for the industry. We had really good traffic in Atlanta its market was busy and encouraging but Chicago needs to do well. If it doesn't I can see even more manufacturers going OOB. Any hint of restrictions or exclusions will hurt attendence.

I won't travel to Chicago ever! I live in Washington state and I am fully vaccinated.

Everything coming out of the CDC, federal government, or state or local governments are merely guidelines.

That is why senator Rand Paul says feel free to ignore them and get arrested. You will have a huge class action lawsuit to bring against these azzholes for violating your constitutional rights.

Over 100 people have been shot already this year, just driving the freeways of Chicago. Both residents and visitors from out of town.

I would NEVER want to go to Chicago,much less work or live there.
The only things I like about Chicago is Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.

As a lifelong Chicagoan, it pains me to see what my beautiful city has become. In the best of times, it's truly one of the greatest cities in the world to visit. That being said, I moved out of the city 15 years ago but continued working in the city until 2 years ago when I got a new job in the burbs. Now the only time I go over those city limits is when I must do so for work or to visit family. It's become a shell of its former self thanks to leftist policies destroying the place. Really just so sad.
