Forcing Olympic Medalists to Wear Dehumanizing Masks During Medal Awards is Just Plain Wrong.

Take a look at yesterday's GOLD MEDAL award ceremony for the Men's Basketball team, at the Tokyo Olympics. WHY are athletes being forced to wear masks during such a high-profile, once in a lifetime award ceremony?

All the Olympic athletes have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

All the Olympic workers have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Even when contracted, Covid-19 does NOT make people sick who have been vaccinated, according to the WHO and CDC.

The MASKS makes them look more like controlled, well-behaved slaves, than Individuals possessing his/her own unique gifts of athleticism and personality.

The IDIOTS who decided to force these wonderfully-gifted Olympic medal winners to wear masks that cover 50% of their face, during their special few minutes of glory, should be ashamed of themselves!

It's hard to watch. No wonder NBC Olympic ratings are in the tank. That's too bad for the athletes. And unfortunate for NBC, because the United States is now THE LEADER in the number of Gold Medals, and Olympic Medals overall! (China was the "Gold" leader up until yesterday.)

Masks that are even bigger than what a commercial painter wears, are dehumanizing. Considering the importance of the moment, any mask is an insult.

Why are they not wearing one during play? Very irresponsible to not wear a mask when playing basketball during the middle of a pandemic!

Coerced into wearing them is the only logical conclusion. No mask and obedience during the games equals kicking your ass home and off the team. You'd think there would be at least a few not wearing masks, although it is quite funny to see the athletes muzzle up straight after a strenuous performance with their bodies dying for air.

Not even a message on a shirt underneath their official garb and showing it to the cameras after their performance or during a medal ceremony? Perhaps no 'political' messages allowed.

But hang on, I've seen some of the Great Britain team doing that stupid 'taking the knee' thing, that's political, how come that's allowed? At least it was good to see the GB women's rugby team lose to Fiji after doing that nonsense. Same with England at Euro 2020, glad they lost because of that woke gesture.

That's not exactly right, I have competed in sports and have the usual trophies, pennants, and medals that you get for the standard mediocrity - as a younger person, but it's true I'm not actually much of a sportsman.

But I have achieved some small recognition in academic performance, and in the arts.

Have the athletes complained about having to wear "Dehumanising Masks" or are they just happy to be competing at the Olympics without having to wear masks so people can get to see what they do .... which is what they've trained for years to do.

I suspect they're just happy to be there , masks or no masks.

....but it's true I'm not actually much of a sportsman.

Not everyone is.

Many aspire to being great sportsmen and women - there's only the two options! - but very few have the ability.
Even fewer people have the necessary drive and determination.

I dare say very, very few of those aspiring sportsmen and women view The Olympics as 'just games'.
Neither do the literally millions upon millions who watch the Games and appreciate the skill, application and drive that has gone into each and every one of those competitors getting there and trying their very best.

To say The Olympics is 'just games' does it quite a bit of an injustice.

But I have achieved some small recognition in academic performance, and in the arts.

I genuinely congratulate you in your personal achievements - which some may denigrate and belittle as irrelevant? - Academia and The Arts can play an important role in both society and culture.

I love the Olympics, I support athletes from all over the world achieve their dreams, love the new games that bring more young people, from less developed countries to get a chance to dream big.

But I found the Japan games offensive to these Athletes, no crowds to lift the moral of the competitors no family members for support, this was the most sad Olympic games I ever seen.

This year was no a good year for Athletes and all for what? for a darn virus that is nothing but a scam?

Olympics? Is that one of those events where those 'awakened' peoples go to prove their dominance and superiority over other humans for shiny prizes ...and be quite giddy about it?

The Olympic Games are an international multi-sport event celebrated as a global sports festival by people all over the world.

With the ultimate goals being to cultivate human beings, through sport, and contribute to world peace.

Of all the bad things in this world the Olympics is hardly one of them imho.
