UFO sighting at Chinese Mine Site in Karatha Western Australia

Hi guy's my first Thread here on Ats have been a fan for many years though enjoying the amazing content. I would like to share my one and only ufo sighting.I did not capture any footage on the day, I can honestly state the reason for this is because my sighting lasted roughly 5 seconds. Since the smart phone era I had told myself If I ever see one I will photograph regardless of the circumstance. However when I initially spotted the ufo it was rapidly ascending and I had the initial thought of *Grab phone take photo* but did not want to take my eyes of this thing I had a 12 man mining crew right next to me as I witnessed it and I didn't notify any of them until after it was out of sight as I was in pure awe and could not believe what I was seeing.

I will now describe the sighting exactly as it happened.

It was 2019 towards the end of the year, I had just finished debriefing a mine site maintenance crew and we were all walking to our vehicles which we parked up at the back of the mine site camp. The camps location was just outside of Karatha in Western Australia a place named Eramurra, it is home to the SINO Mine site which is Chinese/Australian owned and operates it's own Iron Ore Minesite.

The site itself is absolutely huge with a 70km radius it has dual mine pit, it's own seaport and airport and is literally in the middle of nowhere in outback Australia. Its a 2500 man camp with operations running 24hrs and even hosts it's own power station.

Now the workers camp where they rest and eat etc is located about 35kms from the minesite itself and is just your basic mining camp and facilities just very isolated.

As me and the crew are walking to our vehicles it is approximately 17:30 it is a completely clear day no clouds visible in the sky at all in any direction just pure blue clear sky. As we are walking I look up in the sky as I quite often do as it has fascinated me since a young fella, as I look up I can just see a shiny round object in the sky nothing else only this object! The object is very high though but I literally can't believe what I'm seeing!

At this moment I am having multiple thoughts go through my head grab your phone etc but I am literally just gazing at this thing and can't stop, As I'm just staring at it, it is just getting higher and higher and higher but the sky is so clear that I can continue to vaguely make it out until eventually it completely disappears. All of this happened in a time frame of of 5 or 6 seconds.

As soon as it was gone I looked at a bloke next to me who's name was Alex and I said ''Brooooooo I JUST FRIKIN SAW A UFO!!!!''

Physical description : Literally looked like a flying ball bearing but a bigger version from where I could see it closer it just appeared very smooth and shiny, round. There was no noise there were no emissions visible.

As we would constantly fly in fly out of this site and see planes regularly I would have estimated the initial sighting at around 30,000 feet and just a direct ascent upwards until literally out of vision with no weather obscurities.

I've always wanted to share this sighting on here fellas take it as you will Anyone blokes out there think they know what it may have been that I saw that day feel free to give us ya insight.

Hi Diacobini thanks fort putting your encounter details up for everyone to read on ATS sounds like a totally awesome experience. All the open spaces in the Australian countryside the UFOs are gonna love those zones. Would love to hear what Alex said in reply

Thanks for your reply mate, hahaha Alex was a real funny dude that definitely believed in UfO’s he had big black dread locks and was covered in tattoos his reply was “ WTF yeah bro i believe that aye” 😂

can you say anything about it's position
relative to the water...

Also, where in relation was sighting, to shore?

anything else?

Give a relative size description, ie.,
compared to say thumbnail held at arm's length,
as to exactly when you initially glimpsed it.

You saw a metallic sphere.

Ive seen one almost within touching distance here in Ireland about 18 years ago.

So it was a mine site and mining camp setup about 200kms from the closest city, it had a purpose built port which was roughly 60kms from where the mining took place. The ports name is “Cape Preston” .

The object I viewed was back at the mainland camp I would estimate 100kms from the port.Sighting took place inland but I mentioned the Port and Private built powerstation as its quite a unique minesite. Cape Preston Airport is also the name of the purpose built airpot to get to this mining destination.

I would say on initial sighting it appeard the size of a small metallic basketball and just continued to ascend until was no longer visible to the naked eye under clear conditions.

Wow now this is interesting! What are your thoughts on what it was ? Or its purpose ?

The one i seen went over my head, if i had of jumped at it i couldve touched it. I was on a bridge crossing a river. The sphere was about 6 inches in diameter and had a one centimetre ridge around the centre of it. Like it came out one centimetre from the centre of the sphere.

It was dead centre of the river and didnt deviate from its height or its speed. It followed the river (which was going towards the sea) it stayed dead centre it followed every bend in the river.

It didnt rotate it stayed the same everything the whole way down river until it was out of sight.

It was a dull metal grey it wasn't shiny bright. It was 100% definitely made of metal, no doubt. No one can tell me it was a balloon or a drone.

I believe it was a scout checking out the river because of the way it went. Didnt change altitude, speed, nothing.

Something i will never forget.

Ireland is a neutral country i doubt very much we have Chinese or Russian spy drones sussing out our rivers.
