Long count Mayan calendar ends in 2021

Not seeing much talk about this on here so just throwing this in for the mix,. Well it looks like the date's have been rechecked and apparently the Mayan calendar comes to a end on 21st December 2021 to be exact..

Well if the date is correct then maybe that explains why the world has turned upside down,. And coincidentally last year we had the Jupiter and Saturn alignment maybe signalling something.. interesting times Indeed..

After going through Y2K and 2012, as well as many reincarnations of prophets who take their flocks to heaven via a comet or some Kool-Aid or a run-in with the government, I'll have to pass on this one.

I'm still waiting for August 13th to come and go so the goal post on Trump's reinstatement can get moved AGAIN.

The author ends with the conclusion that the world will still be here in Jan 2022.

After living through many "end of the world" events that never happened, I agree with the author.

In the 1970's it was said the world would end soon with an ice age.

In 2000 we had Y2K in which the world was to end in catastrophe.

Despite COVID 19, despite Kerry's new prediction of the world ending in global climate catastophe within 9 years in 2014.

Despite it all, the world will survive.

Now with the current administration trying to decide whether or not to lockdown the nation again, bringing more shortages of goods and food due to an inability to move items and enough people allowed out to produce, we could be in for some very difficult times ahead, but humanity will survive.

The US may be deeply in a totalitarian single party regime beholding to China, but we will survive.

After the nation goes bankrupt with the deep debt we are in giving people money to not work, and defunding police, stopping arresting people for stealing less than $900 worth of stuff - we may go into a Mad Max lifestyle, but we will survive, somehow, some way.

All the May and predicted was a time of great upheaval as the calender rolled back to the start, much as our modern day ones do every day/week/month/year.

The thing is, the calendar starts right back up again. It wasn't the end of anything for the Mayas but more similar to our "end of the century."

Humans are intelligent, clever, pattern-seeking primates. We get ourselves into and out of so many scrapes. We'll be just fine... and as others have said, nothing's going to happen in December 2021.

The most basic premise of that article is wrong. The GMT correlation is the same correlation used when researchers determined the 13th baktun ended in 2012.

It seems like this article was written by someone late to the party and either misread the previous research or is purposefully changing facts to get hits for their page.

I am glad it is wrong-because mentioned in another thread a while ago that I hoped some one hadn't made a mistake and mixed the 1 and the 2 up.
When I saw this OP I was thinking someone had stolen my idea-which I only meant as a joke.

Also I was thinking-wasn't the Mayan civilisation pretty much wiped out(I know some survived)by a volcanic event?
I was thinking-what did their calender say about the date of that event beforehand?

Sort of looks as though a slow series of volcanic erruptions was their "apocalypse."
But I don't think it was prophesised in the calender(not sure).

Well, we are ALL going to die anyway. No way around it. Everyone currently on the earth WILL die.

Why people get so upset at that prediction is beyond me. I can guarantee that no one will escape death.

It's just the timing. Make peace with it, you will die, guaranteed, even Soros who gets infusions of young blood to keep him going will die one day, thank the powers that be.

May 15 2028 end of the world thread.

With the creation of Israel in May of 1948 it's plausible the Apocalypse is an 80 year event based on a reading of Matthew 24. If so it would seem major events should start happening in the next year or two.

I'm still looking for Iran doing something stupid and winding up with it's government being overthrown. And the appearance of a "branch" of Zechariah to rebuild the Jewish temple.

And if I'm right there should be some kind of earthshaking event to mark the restart of the last seven years of the Daniel 9 70 weeks prophecy. Similar to 9-11.

But we'll see.
