Doesn't the test only test for the antibodies though?

If you'd had covid a good while ago you'd not have antibodies still showing would you?

You'd need covid again for them to show on a test unless I've completely misunderstood?

a reply to: and14263

Hey up.

It only tests for one type of the two anti body types but it did say there is a chance of having anti bodies if you've had it within the last 6 months.

Tell you what though, the thing to prick your finger was like a bloody knife and the amount of blood they wanted was a bit of chore, more than a few drops in a tube I can tell ya!

I'm surprised they haven't realised that all of this has zero bearing on what actually happens on the real world by now.

He doesn't like me because I disagree with him.

Truth. That's the way ATS has worked for quite some time now.

This whole thread is based on anecdotal evidence, you've asked for people's own experiences.

You should have specified that you only wanted anecdotes that confirmed your opinions.

That's all the evidence IAMTAT ever requires to reinforce their echo chamber.

Yeah, I hate that guy too. He's so yucky!

But...there is no denying that you use ATS as an echo chamber.

Looks like you two have a nice little echo chamber of your own going on here.

I'm flattered.

A two person echo chamber of non-right wing views on a message board that swings completely to the right?

I'm flattered.

Enjoy it while you can.

Your only two comments away from being totally shunned and called a government shill and/or troll.

You've got a mighty strange concept of echo chambers there, my friend.

So here is an interesting personal anecdote...

My sister and her family are emigrating to the UK. They have been isolating for a month.

They fly tomorrow... yesterday morning (Saturday) she tested positive, rest of the family negative. Huge drama because it would mean they have to isolate and postpone all their plans, rebook flights etc. Just sold their house, all their furniture is in a container on a ship.

So she tested again this morning, got the results back this afternoon - negative. Very strange.

Of course when they get to London, they have to isolate in a special hotel for another 2 weeks.

Hey...I still gave you credit for finally admitting to me you were trolling and are a paid shill for China Virus tests.

Was that wrong?

Plenty of very strange testing results stories out there.
You're not alone.

And, I'm still sure you have not made a valid point...point...point...

Nice try at misdirection, though.

Not at all.

I was impressed with your deductive skills if I'm honest.

I've been put on suspension while I go back and do some more training on basic evasion skills so anything I say for the next couple of weeks is just shilling and not paid.

I think my first mistake was actually telling you I worked on a covid testing site.

My next attempt I'll be sure to keep that under wraps.

Spent 6 days in hospital and about a week at home on oxygen, I wasn't as bad as some of the other people in the hospital packed to capacity with covid patients, but it was damn awful.

Got through it in the end, but it gave me a new outlook on life.

Eta got out the hospital end of June, up until last week since being back at work, it was tough to stay awake till 8pm, and on Friday I would be completely useless and tired from the weeks work. Still struggling with a sore throat though which I'm worried about.

Wife had a fever for 2 days lol and got over it fast didn't even tell the family who was all stressed out with me being so sick.

Thanks for the update...and I'm sorry you've been suspended from your job.
I will, however, make a mental note that transparency will no longer matter to you concerning any of your future posts.

Linctagon throat lozenges worked well for my sore throat. I recovered quickly but have not regained any of my lost weight (3-4 weeks later) despite eating normally. Still down about 30% strength from my pre-covid workouts .., but at least I look ripped

lol silver linings my friend.

You mentioned a new appreciation for life ... I had that too. Something about thinking about your own mortality does that.

I had been putting off studying for years ... signed up 2 weeks ago for some online Udemy courses and got my first Microsoft certification on Thursday. First exam I have written in 30 years. Signed up to do another.

All of those symptoms sound just like a cold to me. 🤷‍♀️. I doubt most people would know the difference without testing.
