Why would I only use two of my IQ points? I don't even think that my mental processes could be partitioned off like that?

I can tell you that I am an academic and would expect that I have an above average IQ, as much as that actually means anything practical.

What am I supposed to have 'bought'? I am highly skeptical of a lot of things. But not of stuff that is rationally likely, or that I have had hands-on experience with.

I use Ockham's razor to evaluate things that I cannot otherwise know the answers to. I find that it provides a reasonable and conservative guide.

I live in New Zealand where we don't have any cases of COVID-19 among the general public. There is no reason to have to mask-up here at the moment.

Masks are so that people who have the virus (symptomatic or asymptomatic) are less likely to pass on the virus through exhalations.

You might, however, tell that to some others who seem to think that they are, indeed, magic. If they don't think that, why push so hard for everyone to get the jab?

I rely on my immune system, thank you very much. It beat cancer, it can probably handle this.
