re-labelling snake oil as something else doesn't change the fact that it's snake oil.

Yea, I think Polio was an oral vaccine if I remember correctly.

Nope, still wouldn't get it.

They DGAF about our health. Something else is happening here.

Thank you , oh wise one.
I was trying to remember what that orange stuff poured on a teaspoon of sugar was .
Now I can let my old brain cool down now .
Old Doc mixed up up , and it wasn't half bad .

What book is that in?

I only own Night Shift his first short story collection.
Generally his writing is extremely totally underwhelming for me.

What do you expect when he writes like 2 books a year?

Nope.
I was trying to remember what the oral vaccine was for since you first opened the thread with the OP :"I Didn't know oral vaccines were a thing" .
Brain was about to overheat and go into shutdown mode when my answer was posted.

I am sure the shot will be kosher to make sure people feel safe taking it, everything for the people.

He does knock them out rather frequently doesn't he?
I'm partial to his earlier works mostly but I definitely have to be in the right mood to read and enjoy King book, mostly a summer read

This was first published in Omni Magazine then later in his short stories book Nightmares and Dreamscapes, I saw its TV adaptation first however, it was done very well.

I may order that one.

IMHO he does much better with short stories than with novels. They drag.
And also, if a magazine will publish it, it's good.

I know, I've submitted to magazines

EDIT

the hardcover is cheaper than the softcover rofl

talk about mass produced

Looks like a company in Israel invented an oral vaccine for covid-19. I never knew oral vaccines were a thing.

There are a few I know of.

Oral polio was mentioned.

They did oral typhoid for a while. That was good because the shots hurt like help.

Adenovirus is oral. I don't think that's used much on civilian side. Primarily a military basic training thing to keep upper respiratory sickness tamped down. Very specific way you have to take it. Like chuck it back and chase quickly with water. More than one knucklehead fricken bit into it. And there's a whole protocol when that happens.

Can't think of any other oral ones off the top of my head.

And that's all I know about that.

The adenovirus vaccine is relatively new. Don't believe I got it in the early 90s. There have also been on and off supply issues.

NVM. Guess has been approved since early '70s. I likely did have it and just didn't remember.

Forget TSA checking your bags. 'Can I check ya a$$ ho' ?'

I think they do that already, no need for pandemania.

"And kick off the shoes, too!"

Cheers
