Is there any particular reason for the continued lag between the actual flag tally of a thread and the front page tally?

My guess is that the front page is updated at longer intervals. Daily?

Don't know. It is kinda weird though, I'd have thought the front page would work much the same as any other list of threads. Mind you I know absolutely bugger all about IT, so there is that.
