dam thats your take, is it all about colour first to you?

and you claim its lefties who only talk about race, well looks like you joined the left with that doozy

I mean, the headline twisted into a pretzel to point out the race, while getting the gender wrong. So i mean....

....on topic here, this is utterly asinine. reality is not a personal pan pizza.

I think there are quite a few, although as with the guy I just saw, I never would have guessed, so probably a lot out there just living lives. I do know of one male who transitioned in his 40s, complete reconstruction surgery and facial feminization surgery. Now she's an average attractive woman in her 50s. Her partner married her after surgery although they had been together years. She states she finally feels on the outside like she felt on the inside all her life, no longer battling the depression and feeling like she was in the wrong body, and by looks they are just a middle age couple.

Does it actually matter in the big scheme of things whether this person transitioned is black or disabled or mentally ill or whatever, if it makes them feel great whole and human?
How the bloody hell does some stranger you'll never meet affect you or any of us in our day to day lives?
Oh and stop calling them trannies....trannies are transvestites and the vast majority I've met have never wanted to be female permanently they just like dressing up at week-ends
...my ex was a tranny and said some time ago that this whole transgender thing was not for him whatsoever nor any of his other tranny mates, as overwhelmingly none of them wanted to lose their "joystick" !

On the opposite side, why should we care at all? Why is it being pushed and hailed as courageous or whatever else? These are people who literally believe they are something that they are not. Why would I want my kids thinking this is acceptable? Why can't the folks who do this just go on with their lives? Why the need for attention and recognition constantly?

It's rather funny to me.

As far as the tranny thing.....I'm not into making sure my vocabulary keeps up with the latest new terms for everything, so transvestite, transgender, transsexuals.....all trannies in my book.

Absolutely I have tattoos but for me to demand people respect my tattoos or even feel the same way about my tattoos or to suggest that tattoos should in anyway be accepted by anyone other then me is ridiculous.

See I wasn’t confused born with a longing for skin of a different colour that would be retarded. I don’t have a dysphoria or false sense of the reality about my skin the colour of it and the pictures that are there instead.

See I get that tattoos are strange too you even perverse so I in no way seek to change your mind or seek acceptance. For I am a degenerate too you and that’s ok. Some people just can’t live with their choices without being constantly reaffirmed they made the right one. They need to be constantly told they brave and strong or else doubt creeps in and logic creeps in.

Sherry was a trans lady i knew. I mean...she aint dead. So i know her. But don't live in the same town or anything now.

She appeared to be a woman. Behaved as a woman. And was treated as such by anyone other than bullies and assholes. Its easy to say "she" because i perceived her as such.

Id bet there are a lot like her.

I agree.

I didn’t want to do the “I have a friend . . .”

I have friends.

LOL....so the brain is telling the body and nature and science it is wrong? Sounds like a mental disorder to me.

Nah...the problem is folks who do this and then must have acceptance and force their views on others. Do whatever you want to your body....I truly couldn't care less, but don't expect me to advocate or support your mental illness.

If the brain is telling you something that nature and logic and science are not then your brain is incorrect. It is the same with folks who eat dirt, or pedophiles, or whatever....should I be accepting of pedophiles?

There are. More than most realize, or want to realize.

I have no problems treating people as they wish to be treated...though I do draw a line at whips and chains.

That was a very considered reply, thank you.

I mean is there really such a significant amount of the world population that wants to be the opposite sex that we should give a crap about it? Or is it just the special snowflake aspect folks fall for, the bleeding heart type....

My going into tats and piercings was a bit hyperbolic but it sits on a spectrum of what I ''could'' consider ''deviant '' behavior.
Tats and piercings to me were of the ancient, uncivilized type of thing that tribes people in the past did for religious reasons and for body beauty. Like the binding of heads upon birth or the modifying of necks to elongate them.
To me, those were trends that in some cases took ages to move away from. I always saw tats in that manner, something that uneducated people did with the remnants of those ancient rituals spilling over into the modern era with soldiers at war and stuff. I was wrong.

There was a time where I could not have imagined anyone wishing they could be the opposite sex, it's just to, different'' from my own proclivities though of course most would call those proclivities natural. However, there are it appears. I know that nature is not as clear cut as our cultures have for eons taught us. That there is along the way in our embryonic development where our genes might take us in either direction. In fact, there are examples where those directions were not established even to the point of birth. It's not as set in stone as we have always thought.

So how far will it go? Not that far is my guess. I think you are right, that this grouping will remain small and not spill over into those of weak mind that are attracted by what ever latest fad come along.

So my take on it's future is simple. Those that will, and of course afford it will. The rest of us won't. For those who find their own place and comfort in society, I say let em. I can deal with it.

Of course they are kinda different. But they are kinda the same at the same time. Whatever the reason, whatever the degree they both remain surgical body augmentation that do not follow the rules of what many consider ''natural.''

Nor I since those times, back when the calls of ''soft porn'' were the cry of what was happening with SI. I paid attention to this because it came across my feed and I thought it could make a provoking thread.
Cheers.

So some girl-boy ( I can never figure it out) made the cover of a magazine.

'Kay.

Hate to break it to you lefty but my world didn't end.

*shrugs*

I bet that somewhere you could buy a magazine of a girl doing sex acts with a camel.

*shrugs again*

What's the difference? Everyone has their own thing going on.

Who actually cares?

My daughter is a nurse in her 40s and much more up on all of this than me. In visiting her a few years ago we had just finished some shopping and she informed me that I had referred to the comely clerk by an incorrect gender name that in other cases might have been offensive. She told me that my lack of awareness had found no offense by that person nor had I even imagined.

a surgically altered man is not a woman and vice versa. but if people wish to take that path, who am i to block it? society seems determined to reduce all differences to one amorphous blob of politically correct niceness. literally anything goes and must be enthusiastically allowed to. i shall watch from the sidelines and smh as this strategy dissolves into chaos.

So the swimsuit issue is now celebrating mental illness... great. I guess it makes sense as the magazine also covers the Special Olympics alongside the normal Olympics, so why not do the same for other elements of society?

Wonder when we will see people protesting the objectification of transvestites the way folks have protested the swimsuit edition for objectifying real women in the past?
