Yes, just think of those who stockpiled these things a bit ago. I remember dell giving away 32" screens with a midgrade system. That was several
years ago.
I stockpiled screens at work when the price was right- a few dozen... until I ran out of storage space. People working from home all the time kept
asking management for them until management depleted the stock, though. Instead of going into the office to bring home the screens they already had
sitting idle in their cubicles, now they have another set at home.
Greedy basta---- wait, I already had that long before they closed the office. Although I did donate a few of my personal screens to the home office
cause, too.

I don't know if it's inflation or greed, but I also noticed this recently at Wally's World. All the TV's went up.
That's the same thing with the chip shortage. Supply is going down, demand is staying the same- prices will go up.
Although the last time I bought a 52" 1080p LCD TV it was a steal at $1k or so.... clearance from when circuit city went under back in what, 2007?
Nice, dumb tv. Works great still, and doesn't have the capability to spy on me.
Last time I looked the modern "smart" ones in that size/resolution were going for like $300, so it's hard to complain if they're going back up- 1k in
2007 could buy a (crappy) used car. Now that car would be 4k and just as crappy.
