“Am I The Only One” by Aaron Lewis hits Number One within three days of its release. A beautiful song about the takedown of America, Lewis asks, “Am I the only one who cares?” Billboard Magazine rushes to trash it here:

But the people have spoken. Sometimes music can be a victorious messenger when all else fails. This song will be spread far and wide and will be a classic for the times we’re living in.

Here is the song live:

No, far from the only one.

My fear is that this will soon come to pass.

My only fear, is having to do what may have to be done. But I will not let my daughters future in America go to the UN and the WEF. Won’t let it happen while I still breathe.

Yeah, Tom MacDonald has a few well themed songs. Not my style of music but the message is excellent.

The Officer Tatum is one my favorite youtube channels. He has great breakdowns and interviews with him.

I like these.. Snowflake and ClownWorld. So much truth.

The only take down, of America was made by you know who.......Americas duty is to take that person to a place of reflection as to why that person threw stones. Sheesh!

You either didn't listen to the song or are too far gone to even understand it.

I'm betting in your case it is both.

To the OP....

Yea, Aaron isn't the only one.

He is one of the few making the right noises (pun intended) though.

The half dozen songs made about 9/11 were more catchy and meaningful. There's not a whole lot of substance here except cliche nationalism and marketable outrage. In a word: 'MURICA!

Huge fan of AFL and Staind. He played this song during his last few 'Live From the Couch' streams and it got better every time.

What?

I have no idea what you’re talking about, but you’re probably a kid with no true understanding of life or history.

To each his own.

Thankfully, you are not in charge of what people want to hear. The song is number one on CM billboard. Millions of people don’t agree with you.

I am neither "poor" or a "thing".

What I am is a rather well-off widow who has served her country with honor and a mother of 5 that lives in this place you hate called America.

I have skin in the game.

You are as relevant in this conversation as a dog fart.

It stinks but it doesn't actually matter to anyone.

It's just what you do and we understand that.

Um....

Yea.

There is not a whole lot of substance there for you because you don't understand what being an American should feel like.

But when you and yours keep pushing, let's see what 74 million American patriots vs 20 million Socialists in America ends up being.

After all, fake mail in ballots will not help your cause then...

Seen a lot of crap on ATS but a political argument in a music thread is a rare treat. Regardless if you like it or don't it's getting a load of playtime and it's not 3 people in West Virginia playing it over and over.

It is literally a political song.

What should we do... argue about what notes he should have used in the chorus?

Yea but it usually isn't in the music thread it's somewhere else, maybe I'm wrong but the last time I can remember was the Dixie Chicks stuff blowing up.

It's just a song I like the sentiment of it, but it's just a song. To the broader point sometimes the best way to listen to opposing views is by listening to their music. We got plenty of places to argue about all this crap, maybe use the music thread for reflection.

Not to mention I ain't pointing out any person individually, hell, I come to music threads to listen to new stuff. Especially on a slow Friday evening... It's all good..

This particular song hit a nerve so I was responding.

But so did Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt"...

As did the Bad Wolves version of "Zombies"...

Or the Disturbed version of "Sound of Silence"....

Or Five Finger Death Punch's "Wrong Side of Heaven."

THAT one was good enough to give me flashbacks.

Only one of those songs was not actually political.

Music does a lot of things for a lot of people.

This particular song pretty much encapsulates what I feel about American politics right now.

And as mentioned, I feel that I have skin in the game.

I know you do it's pretty much how I feel and I know it's how a lot of other people are also. It's 11:30 here sometimes it gets to that time of the day where ya don't want to hear arguing anymore I can talk all night but arguing... Id rather be doing something constructive. Besides, you didn't start this ya know...
